Being a United fan is like being a Houston sports fan from 1996 until 2017, Just good enough to keep you hooked but ultimately depressing as hell. My Sunday league team could beat Wolves. It's the 4th time in the last month we've had a chance to go top 4 AT HOME TO A LOWER RANKED TEAM only to give up points. Had we taken 3 in all of those games, we'd be 3rd ahead of Villa right now.

Didn't even bother to watch while we are on our winter break. From what I've heard PL is now mainly set pieces and throws, ugly to watch. Hope that isn't true.

Now that the new year has started, players with expiring contracts may officially start talking to other clubs. The class of 2026 is center back heavy with Upamecano (Bayern), Guéhi (Crystal Palace), Konaté (Liverpool) and Rüdiger (Real Madrid) all free in summer. Schlotterbeck (Dortmund, contract until 2027) is also on the move. Could lead to a domino effect.

I think the set piece thing is being a bit overblown but it's definitely played a part in the season thus far. Arsenal have been masterful at it on corners.

And once again, United making unwanted news by sacking Amorim. I'm not saying he didn't deserve it, especially after his rant after the Leeds match, but it's crazy when it's just 2 months from Sir Jim saying he's going to get 3 years. I have no idea what direction we go in now. I can see a new manager bump because I think Amorim was very strict and players can maybe play a little more freely...but being 1/2 way through a rebuild around playing a 3-4-2-1 (and with so many players at AFCON and injured) I have no idea what to expect from an interim (which is looking more and more likely to be Ole Gunnar round 2). If it is him, it might be a good time to recall Rashford as his best was under OGS. Or maybe OGS can figure out how to get literally anything out of Sesko.
