Ime has a .596 record as a head coach MDA is .560 as a hc RA is .582 ...or do you not like that 'objective evidence'? I mean Ime took a team to the finals... MDA did not... so that means Ime is better, right? RA took a team to the finals twice in his career... so if Ime makes it 2 more times, then he's better, right? and if Ime wins a championship, then he is better than both MDA and RA, right? i just want to be sure i have your selective 'objective evidence' nailed down...
career playoff record... ime .548 mda .491 ra .503 but guessing thats more of that 'objective evidence' that doesnt fit your narrative...
The narrative is that the OP is a punk who should have been banned as others have been for not only stupid knee jerk posts about a great coach, but for cursing at others and insulting others on a personal basis. Guess there are different rules for members of this site….they don’t have to be held accountable.
I just find it amusing that homeboy is going to cherry-pick the results of 1 playoff run to propel his agenda... totally disregard their career records... and then rail about objectivity... lol... thats funny stuff right there!
Let me get this straight, you want to fire the coach and GM of a team that's 21-10 (.677) all without their starting point guard?! Man that's harsh.
I kinda think initially that they weren't really interested .... mainly because the price was thought to be much more than they ended up giving. And the guys they stated were untouchable are still here. When they realized they could dump Jalen and his contract and return Durant and all it cost them was Brooks and the rights to Khaman Maluach .... That's a hard deal to pass on. I was very much against trading for Durant when the rumblings first started, and even later .... but when they pulled this deal off, I'm fine with it.
yeppers, can the sumblitch. Yeppers, mebbe shoulda ridden herd during that streak. Or home court in April and May? June? sorry, dada, but Ime is aces.
Nope, never said that, I don't want him canned at all, but I would like him to hire an offensive coach to help design a complex system to augment players strengths and minimize their weaknesses. I think Ime is an above average coach, but not a great one. DD
Right, and you don’t think that’s completely disingenuous given Ime has coached for what 3 years and mostly in the east? what’s the most damning? His team getting better without him or literally winning the holy grail a year after him being fired? You’re better off arguing why Sebastian telfair is better than MJ with your cherry picks. Literally nobody would pick Udoka over either of those HALL OF FAME guys
There are different rules, you’re a **** stain and nobody cares for example. So yes you can continue sit here and get frustrated about why people expectedly criticize Udoka. It’s not like he was fired for gross unprofessionalism just 2 years ago.
We went over this with MDA. You’ve been here a while so we know you are willfully being disingenuous. Hint, it’s kind of like arguing that the 07’ cavs were better than the 2018 rockets. Again, we can cherry pick all we want but what’s more damning than your team literally improving after you leave and winning a ring. Or we should just go by your metrics, all those eastern conference teams are so amazing if you look at their seeding, that’s how many coaches that are already better than Udoka? Lmao. Gtfo. Udoka isn’t a HOFer , so it’s quite insane arguing he’s better than HOF coaches when the bar is so high for them.
Not that I want to be involved in the convo but Ime did not lead a team to the Finals by himself, dude had like Mazzulla and Will Hardy on his team......2 Offensive coaches that became good head coaches.....Mazzulla actually won a championship with an improved roster. Ime with Ben Sullivan and Royal Ivey - it is a couple notches worse.
I feel MDA did not have complete reign here.....as Udoka does now. His guy Olympic Melo was just let go......contract issues with Owner. Also Morey listened more to what Harden wanted. Harden over CP3 .....good case. The only thing was that Bzedelik was the right defensive coordinator for him but he was not here for long. They were buds from his Denver time.
Agree….funny how he never mentioned Udoka taking the Celts to the NBA Finals when they were barely over .500 at the halfway point of the season. He is a master coach at motivating players and making changes after a few losses in a row. Always been a consistent winner. We are very fortunate to have Udoka as our coach.
See man... if you wanted to express whatever as an opinion - cool... they're like aholes, everyone's got one - and they all stink! lol! but if you want to proclaim your view to be beyond reproach and based solely on objectivity (while slighting me...) then u sir, can gtfo.... U and DD have the same arrogance.... smh... For the record... I said (and u can go back and look) that Ime is the most well-rounded coach we've had in decades... and i believe that is true... offense, defense, player mgmt, getting guys engaged and hustlin.... the whole ball of wax. That is my opinion. Obviously RA and MDA have had much much longer careers than Ime... so time will tell where he stacks up... but in the meantime... the numbers are what they are... maybe he'll be out of the league in 2 years or maybe he'll go on to be the best most winningest coach ever... at this point its just conjecture... I mean, he could be like RA and after 2 finals apps in his first 4 years never return to the Finals again in his next 19 years... lol
I think Stone and Ime are on the same page... as were DM and MDA... i think both are cumulative efforts towards a shared vision... Im betting Melo was DM which it was stupid to do it wo considering Bzdelik... totally disrupted the year.. . Smallball though... i gotta believe that was the both of em.... they were both always looking for a way to jive the system.... We cant beat GSW? Lets do the exact same thing with lesser shooters - that should work! lol
Yup, pretty much, from what transpired afterwards, MDA did a pretty fine job given that there was turmoil within the organization ....and Fertitta taking over from Alexander.... It was not all smooth sailing and MDA did it....in spite of it.
All I know, and this is not a debatable fact, is that Udoka has 3 full seasons as head coach, and his team was significantly better than they were the previous season all 3 years. So yes, clearly a trash coach that doesn't know how to get success out of his personnel. Does that mean he's the goat and destined for a career of chips, no , but stop with this nonsense about how awful he is because no fact will back you up on that.
I have no respect for MDA as a HC.... Maybe the best offensive coordinator of all-time... but he was no head coach imo....
let judge Ime's last year's playoffs performance could he have better coached/motivated/created plays and schemes for Jalen?
