CJ has the freedom to check into any other play he wishes to change to at the LOS in this offense. He can check to a play with shorter routes, Recognition and changing the play is the problem. Again this isn't just me saying this, Ware was saying the same thing on the radio.
IMO this offensive scheme and the natural abilities of CJ do not fit, couple that with this O Line isn't a strength of the team and you end up with stretches where the offense just disappears. I love CJ but dam it's hard to watch this offense when it seems to be shut down. The 2 opening drives were awesome, and CJ laid out 2 dimes and it's a dam good thing we got those because after that it was feast or famon...............thank goodness Marks and Jordan had some dam good runs, if nothing else I think we found our RB#2 in Jordan I love CJ, but he is no Josh Allen and that's OK if you surround him with talent, but don't ask him to go win it with 2 minutes left with what he has to work with
Drake maye winning mvp while throwing literally 0 tds against good teams for an entire season would be peak hilarity
They played a charmin schedule for sure, but the only 2 games he threw 0 TD were against Buffalo. He did throw 2 against Tampa, Pitt and Balmer (mileage on calling them "good teams" may vary)
Steelers are between bad and mediocre, tampa was mediocre at the start and after the first month was awful. Ravens without jackson are a 5 win awful team. Bills are the only top 10 team they played all season.
Tampa was 6-2 (3-1 first month and 3-1 2nd month) and playing at home when NE beat them, which was the start of their massive collapse. But we're splitting hairs here and I'm not disagreeing with you. Pats in the playoffs and a 1st place schedule next season will be interesting to watch
