That's number 1 pic energy. Reed was the victim of a week draft. VJ was the victim of a stacked one.

I say victim for Reed because he has number 3 pick expectations when he does not have number 3 pick potential. Amen went pick 4 and was showing more potential in year 1 than Reed is showing in year 2. Just to be clear, I hope Reed does well, but his progress has been slow.

 

First because its a weak draft he got drafter 3rd on a stronger draft that will never happen. So he primarily benifitted from a weak draft.

The expectations and criticism only come later

He’s nice. He’s what 3rd picks are supposed to be/look like. Meanwhile, everyone’s excited over Jabari’s 13 points. @RB713 Has Jabari ever scored 30? (Just checked: 3 times in 4 years.) That 2025 class is looking nice.
