I hope you're right but it's apparently a staggering amount. It's coming out that Somalians through the U.S. have pulled off similar scams.

Can you answer a question? Would you support deporting every Somali immigrant?

Nothing wrong with cleaning up the fraud with an audit that was demanded by Walz in October.

A quick reply. You can verify these with public data.

There are about 48 million foreign-born residents in the U.S., many of whom are citizens.

The number of unauthorized (illegal) immigrants is roughly 11–14 million, not 50 million.

Undocumented immigrants pay taxes - around $100 billion in 2022. While there are some costs, the overall fiscal picture is more complex than calling them a simple “drain.” Research indicates that, overall, they often contribute more in taxes and economic activity than they consume in public services.

Immigrants, both legal and unauthorized, are a significant driver of the economy. Without them, the U.S. economy would have lost trillions in value over the last decade (in 2023 alone, they accounted for 2.1 trillion or 18% of U.S. GDP). With concerns about population decline and low birth rates among Americans, immigrants will continue to play a vital role in sustaining economic growth and funding social programs for the aging population.

Not sure why the previous images didn't show, but any data on Somali's shows what a serious PER CAPITA problem it is.

Brett Favre committing fraud in Louisana doesn't change what is happening in Minnesota, Ohio and Washington, anywhere Somali's concentrate, at a disproportionately high rate. They stay out of the workforce, don't care for education, and aggressively use benefits in addition to systematically committing fraud via subsidies. Their only leverage is popping out babies so they can increase their voting bloc power. This is why Walz not only has to be impeached, but serve serious time in prison because it's the game he played.

George Santos was sentenced to 7 years for FAR less than what we're seeing here.

Whenever it comes to hard numbers displaying known trends, whether it be fraud or violence, the democrats intentionally look past the reality of per CAPITA and cultural narratives while screaming racism to justify these actions.

Virtually all native Minnesotans speak English very well, for example, but 58.2 percent of working-age Somalis do not. Meanwhile, 39 percent of working-age Somalis have no high school diploma, compared to just 5 percent of natives.

Table 1 also shows that 21.6 percent of working-age Somali men are without a job.

And it's worse when you include all the false exmployment and fraud employment.

When it comes to immigration, it is dishonest to pretend all immigrant groups are the same. In terms of ability, culture, values. We need mass denaturalization and deportation of Somali's to show there's consequence for mass importation of predatory habits. It's a contrast to legal Nigerian immigrants, who outperform, stay out of trouble and attain high levels of education.

It's ridiculous and ignorant how people like @K9Texan claim all these immigrants are illegal and a drain. Educated people regardless of their politics are operating in so many false assumptions

There's no issue of crime or money
    There's no fuqing issue.

I don't remember what people felt about immigration before Trump made this his main issue during his first campaign but immigration is a non issue and non problem

It's still not right according to the values of our country to implicate all Somalis. Maybe there is something going on in their community where fraud is widely accepted and used but it's still the duty of the rest of us to maintain our values

This has been educational but as I stated In my response to your previous post, we still have to maintain our values. I understand it maybe easier and economical to just ban them but we can't change our values

Regardless of the "problem" there aren't many Somalis immigrants, just a lot in Minnesota, Trump is still playing this issue to drum up bigger support for his overall anti immigration policies

    You're still being played

I see you're citing the CIS study. Like any research from advocacy organizations with a particular policy agenda (anti-immigration), it's important to examine the context to get a complete picture. Let me share what that fuller context reveals. You can verify with the links provided below.

Your claims don't match the actual data. Somalis in Minnesota have a 70% labor force participation rate - higher than the general population. They generate $500 million in income annually, pay $67 million in state and local taxes, and create an $8 billion economic impact on Minnesota's economy according to economist Bruce Corrie from Concordia University. The "81% welfare" figure you're citing includes Medicaid and SNAP, not cash assistance... only 8% receive public assistance income, according to state data. And that number counts U.S.-born citizen children as "immigrants," which inflates the statistics. Minnesota's state demographer Susan Brower noted that the higher poverty rate (38%) among Somalis, typical for recent refugee populations, explains their eligibility for safety net programs, not cultural differences.

The pattern you're describing isn't unique to Somalis. It's typical of refugee communities escaping war zones. Vietnamese refugees in the 1970s faced similar criticism. They arrived fleeing civil war with nothing, faced language barriers, had high poverty rates, and used safety net programs at elevated rates. Critics made the same arguments about cultural incompatibility and welfare dependency. Today, Vietnamese Americans have median household incomes above the national average, high educational attainment, and strong entrepreneurship rates. The transformation took 20-30 years (1975-2000). The same upward mobility trajectory is already visible in the Somali community. The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce found that Somalis show positive socioeconomic trends over time, with unemployment falling and contributions increasing the longer they're in the U.S.

Somali refugees arrived fleeing civil war in the 1990s-2000s, often with trauma and no resources. Comparing them to Nigerian immigrants who typically arrive on employment or education visas with existing English proficiency and professional credentials isn't a fair comparison... it's comparing refugees to selective economic migrants.

The source you're relying on (CIS) has been rated "questionable" by Media Bias/Fact Check for publishing misleading information. The Cato Institute, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, and the National Academies of Sciences have all criticized CIS for using unsound methodology that inflates immigrant welfare use rates. CIS was founded by John Tanton, who the Southern Poverty Law Center identifies as a prominent figure in the white-nationalist movement.

Fraud should be prosecuted wherever it occurs, but there's no credible evidence of systematic, community-wide fraud (does anyone really considers <1% as systematic of a group). Individual cases don't represent an entire community any more than Brett Favre represents all Mississippians.

The key to a good grift is finding out the shameful things that people believe deep down and telling them that those shameful things are true and valid and in fact it is a horrible crime that everybody isn't woried about those things.

Trump is just giving these people cover to think and believe the gross things they believe out in the open.

Really nobody's playing anybody. Both Trump and the mouthbreathers are just using each other.

Everybody involved is getting exactly what they want.
