So you think we’d be better off if we let Jalen walk for nothing and didn’t land Reed Sheppard? lol that’s certainly a thought. A silly one, but a thought nonetheless.
Spurs fans feel like an entire population of people that grew up next to one of those Pasadena refineries.
I can’t remember who posted this starting lineup, but it’s what I want to see going forward: Sengun Amen Tari (or a healthy DFS) KD Reed and I’d love to see this 2nd unit: Adams Bari DFS (or a healthy Tari) Okogie/Holliday Point Guard Acquisition at trade deadline
Suns look pretty decent and well footed going forward (meaning the picks they owe us could be mediocre) and I don’t think we have great odds to win a ring with KD. maintaining the Nets picks, the pick we sent for KD, Brooks, and further relying upon the youth instead of the fun 37 year old superstar stop gap may have been a better situation for our championship odds in 3-5 years.
Vegas believes we have pretty good odds of competing for a championship. At 5th and closely bunched with San Antonio and the Knicks in the 3rd and 4th spot. We also have the 2nd best Net Rating currently built on the 10th toughest schedule so far. OKC and DEN have both had the easiest schedules so far. We aren't OKC. I get it. But opening night, ring ceremony night, on national TV, we took OKC to 3 OTs in the loss. To say we don't have "great" odds to win a ring with KD seems....I don't want to say delusional, but....what other evidences are you looking for to feel like we have great odds to win with KD? What else do you expect from the current team to get you to change your mind? Am I making sense? I assume you are a reasonable person, so I'm asking sincerely, what else do you need to feel good about our chances? Or maybe I should frame this another way, would you be satisfied with good odds? Or a puncher's chance? Maybe I'm setting my expectations too low.
