Is this the end of the Islamic regime in Iran?
This has close parallels to how the previous government fell in 79.

But then again Iran has seen political upheaval numerous times since the Green protests in 09 with little to show for it.

The Iranian people are doomed if they cannot solve their existential domestic problems.

From markets to streets: Iran protests spread nationwide on day two

What began as anger over the surging price of the US dollar and the collapse of the rial has widened into a broader wave of unrest, moving beyond market corridors and into streets, squares and university campuses across multiple provinces.

In Tehran, major sections of the bazaar were shuttered, including major commercial centers in the Grand Bazaar as well as the Alaeddin mall.

Crowds poured into streets in several parts of central Tehran, where security forces deployed tear gas and clashes were reported.

Doesn't the regime just arrest and execute a bunch of people after each iteration of protests?

Yes and no. Without the conservative business class support the whole operation falls apart quickly.

Who are these conservative business class and why are they so important? Couldn’t the regime just force them to support or axe them?

The regime doesn’t exist without them.

The bazaari continue to underpin the ruling elite today,[3] one example being Noor Foundation Director Mohsen Rafighdoost, whose wealth has been described by American journalist Robert D. Kaplan as likely to amount to "tens or hundreds of millions of dollars"

Is Iran’s Tiananmen moment a sign bazaar protests will topple the regime? - analysis
As protests sweep Iran, a powerful image likened to Tiananmen's ‘Tank Man’ surfaces, echoing the bazaari class’s historic defiance amid economic collapse and rising calls for regime change.

It sounds like they are the traditional class of merchants and workers who are integrated into the regime itself. Cracking down on them is like undergoing chemotherapy: the regime might survive the 'treatment,' but it puts the entire system at a point of extreme vulnerability.

The economic system that sustains them is in part why Iran is economically crippled.

The Iranian economic system is a mixed economy with a high degree of central planning. Because the Bazaari class (petite Bourgeoisie in the west) are entrenched, the government makes choices that are detrimental to growth at the benefit of enriching the Bazaari class. And when the government makes reforms at the expense of the Bazaari, they’re generally opposed.

But if Iran can right itself, it needs to be like West Germany post World War II. But more so, it needs to solve its economy.

Pahlavi is certainly a better candidate, and one who will ease economic pressure by complying with America who will lessen sanctions and opening up the economy, but it's important the US stay out of this. Let Iran fight their own battles and if they're not desperate enough to overthrow a radical muslim government, can continue to suffer.
