26' starting OL as of today: LT Ersery LG Howard C Patterson/Andrews RG Ingram (if re-signed) RT Fisher & Brown (if re-signed) We DESPERATELY need an upgrade at center.
If Blake is on this team next year I will be upset, he is a bust and is only on this team because we have no alternative
Idk I thought he played really well Saturday. I’m not cutting a second rounder still on his rookie deal with two years left.
No reason to cut him, but I sure wouldn’t be pencilling him in as our starting RT. Unless Love is available with our pick. OL is a must in the first round this year. Best available regardless of T, G, or C. If Love is available, then we should try and trade up if necessary or use both second round picks on OL. Going the FA route at tackle this past year really bit us in the ass. The guys that did work out are FA’s again. I wouldn’t usually want a RB in either the first or second round and it seems we have 2 pretty good ones already, but I think Love is a game changer. After the 2nd round, go best available regardless of position. We have plenty of depth issues to address and the draft is the best place to do it.
I'll argue for the same approach as I did last offseason (which the team rudely ignored): build the line through free agency. They need experienced guys that can step in day 1 and be ready to play. No more rookies on the OL. If they can do that, then you focus on RB, TE, DT and secondary depth.
I'm for going BPA in the 1st and Kayden McDonald will most liky be BPA. Austin Siervels and Caleb Tiernan are both talented OL that should be there in the 2nd/top of the 3rd. Give me these 2 guys and Dillon Thineman out of this draft and I'll be very happy. Sign a RB in FA and draft another later (I'm really liking Leveon Moss in the 4-5th and lets roll.
I’m starting to think we need a better Oline coach. Three picks in the first two rounds I’d love a Guard, LB and DT. Doesn’t matter the order. Would absolutely love a game changing back like Love but I don’t think Caserio values the position that high in the draft.
I’m a big A&M fan, but have never been that impressed with Moss. I don’t like drafting RB’s early, but I do think we need a bell cow. I think it’s obvious that the Texans want to be a run heavy team with a stifling defense. Maybe Marks can be that guy with a better run-blocking OL. I do think Love is that bell-cow so I would take him if available, but I think that is highly unlikely. Texans have been pretty great at signing FA DT’s so I think OL, especially if we can get a day 1 starter in the interior is the better bet in the 1st round. I’d even trade up if we have a sure fire starter in the interior. Caserio better start hitting on some of these OL draft picks, because in the very near future we have absolutely no cap room for FA’s of any worth.
It’s not, but the QB has a huge role in that sacks stat by knowing how to avoid them. The reason it’s not talked about (I feel) is folks think it’s more about the OL and don’t want to give any credit to this team’s OL for anything.
Would be interesting as he is a VERY large human being, but I think he has bigger issues to deal with RN: - On February 12, 2025, Cleveland was arrested by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office for DUI and failure to maintain lane. According to authorities, Cleveland blew a .178 on a breathalyzer test - On December 8, Cleveland was suspended for three games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. - On January 1, 2026, Cleveland was waived by the Ravens following his suspension.
I think there was definitely an improvement on the OLine (simple things like stunts not destroying us), I also blamed Caley for the scheme and the quicker developing routes and emphasis on getting rid of the ball was a big improvement. I was not one of the ones blaming Stroud as much as I should have, but the people that were should also in the same vein acknowledge that he has improved vastly in his getting rid of the ball quickly, even if it means throwing it away and not taking 10+ yard sacks like he was.
Yeah. Howard needs to be back at rt. We should draft 2 interior lineman and one needs to be a lock to start right away.
Andrews has gotten better from 31st to 19th in Pass blocking in just 8 weeks. The struggle is real when there is a holy phenom healthy at DT lined up across from him. But that's the case with any other non probowl center. His interview is worth watching:
