Anybody thinking the Texans should rest players in this final game against the Colts should get their head examined. Not only is the division still in play, but so is playoff seeding. A loss gets them potentially the 7 seed, while a win guarantees them no worse than 5 seed.
Chargers are already resting guys they are happy with the 7 seed. There's also no chance the Jags lose to Tennessee so we really can only go between the 5 and 6 seed.
I wouldn't say there's "no chance".... the Jags have a tendency to Jag all over themselves. And I don't think the Chargers are "happy" to be the 7-seed; I think their QB is hurt (and he gets hit a lot) and they're playing the long game. Once HFA was off the table, I think they (rightly) turned their attention to getting Herbert fully healthy. I want the Texans offense to play as they need the reps, etc. I would like to see Sting and Lassiter, Aziz, WAJ, etc., load-managed as much as possible.
Rivers got an extra 5 years of full medical coverage for his massive family so I'd say his "comeback" was a resounding success.
