I'd like Malone to sign with the Rockets, but since he says he'll only sign with the Lakers, it won't happen.

Why not? Malone is a warrior's warrior. Let's sign him immediately, let him play his heart out, then cut him right before the playoffs.:D

I spoke to Shawn Bradley about this, and he said "You don't need Karl Malone. You need me."

    Arkansas.

I have a feeling he doesn't want to play for the Rockets just as much as we don't want him playing for the Rockets.

Like another poster said above, he's already said he'll only play for the Lakers if he comes back. He did pop up at training camp for motivational purposes....

I am probably in the minority about this.......

But I love Karl Malone's game. His work ethic is phenomanal. If half the guys in the NBA worked in the off season half as hard hs Karl does the league would be incredible instead of the state it is in now. If he would have been a Rocket enforcing the weak side for Hakeem I suspect the opinions on this board would be different. He is without a doubt the best PF to ever play the game and would have had two rings if not for going up against the best two guard to ever play the game in MJ.

And come on......lets fes up, everyone here secretly applauded when he knocked the crap out of ole' softy Robinson....lol

I bet you have a poster of John Stockton wielding a lightsaber over your headboard.

holy christ. the warthog thing has to be the most elegant and weirdly appropriate mispost i have ever seen. i have not laughed at a post that hard in years. maybe i just have a weird sense of humor. or maybe im just so uncouth i dont know better than to derail an incredibly important thread.

Sounds like you need to check out some of bloodninja's spewing of intelligence...absolutely classic!!!

AND...I do not want Karl Malone on this team. I think Dennis Rodman would be better for handling Yao's dirty work.

Great post. I am in total agreement with you on almost everything...except for David Robinson. I felt sad for him when he was wiped out by Malone. David Robinson was great on and off the court, a guy with high moral standards and the epitome of class. Malone was a strong, rugged player, a bruiser, a Detroit Pistons-type of player (circa 80's-early 90's). But I glad to see that at least a handful of Rocket fans can appreciate Karl Malone's greatness.

I'd rather get this guy than Malone.

Saw "After The Sunset" this weekend - seeing Karla in it was almost enough to ruin the movie. Fortunately, there was enough Salma Hayek in a bikini throughout the rest of the movie to compensate. :D
