Why is Trump covering up the Epstein files while protecting pedophiles?

There will always be those people who will never admit they have been deceived. It's too jarring to their ego to face the truth that Trump lies to them over and over and over and over. They don't fact check Trump's lies, because they can't face the truth. They would rather just defend and support Trump's story, instead of accepting that they are conned and fed a bunch of BS daily from him on any subject he speaks about.

That's why they echo and repeat the lies, and troll the threads. It's easier to just call everyone but Trump the liars, criminals, pedos, grifters, frauds, crooked, dumb, and evil ones, because that's what Trump says.

Don't feed the trolls. It's not a discussion nor a debate with them. They will never accept anything but Trump's version of the story.

 

I used to love how Columbia got under everyone's skin. I'd love to see him follow Trump around bringing up questions daily. Trump would go crazy!!

To be completely honest, I don't know. The Epstein stuff, until recently for me, has always been this huge sort of mystery type crap that reads like a horror movie to me. The Congressional Act and the subsequent semi and redacted release in violation of that law has drawn my attention more.

If anyone was involved in it or in covering it up, please prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. And for those that have been prosecuted, let's not move them to a country club prison. You won't find me deflecting for any of them.

 

It's a good question. US Attorneys are doing the people's business. No reason a public official should be redacted over and above the fact the attorney isn't a victim. I wonder what law they can hide behind to justify this much secrecy.

Back when we were talking about releasing the files, I said on the bbs that I didn't think it should be made public but that instead there should be a congressional investigation for exactly these reasons. Maybe a congressional investigation would end up just being another roadblock to accountability, but this approach is going to produce so much misinformation and conspiracy theory that it might be even worse.

Not saying it is not true, but this baby's birth was probably recorded at a hospital and with this tip surely the NYPD detective would have started some kind of investigation of the baby's disappearance. Assuming the baby existed and then disappeared, the uncle would have been identified and questioned. They'd probably want to interview Trump too. Maybe searches would be done to see if maybe the baby was killed in some other way by the mother. Or maybe if the detective did nothing, it'd be good to hear from him why not. But we don't get any of that stuff. Just this decontextualized complaint.

MTG still has time to say all the names victims have told her with cover from congressional speech and debate privileges. But I expect what she will instead do is limp off under cover of darkness like all the other Republicans who couldn't stomach Trump but also didn't have the fortitude to defy him.

This part, though not surprising, still upset me.
