from the 5th pick back in Early October to 24th now.
It's getting to the point where Nick might as well just trade the pick.
Just kidding. He was going to do that no matter what.

The good news is that we may NOT need to draft a running back based on how well Jawhar Jordan is playing. I think him and Woody are capable.

I gave up on chasing Love a few weeks back.
But it reminds me of Caserio's latest appearance with Sean Pendergast.

Caserio to Pendergast: "I know who you want. You keep texting me about those Notre Dame running backs."

I gave up on chasing love years ago, I just let it come to me.

but seriously, his backup, Jadarian Price, is also very interesting

They need a Mixon level RB.

Yep: Woody, Skinny and PlayerX would be a great RB group.

Not saying this guy's the guy, but I like him:

I'm assuming that we will NOT re-sign Kirk and if Dell is unavailable that will leave us with Collins, Hutchinson, Higgins, and Noel. If Tank Dell is a no-go by draft time, would you guys support drafting another WR if the right guy is available?

We have 6 picks in the first 4 rounds. We can get a stud DT, LB, C, a dangerous WR, and quality prospects as G and S.

They really love Kirk and his blocking.
I think Noel is the perfect guy to take over or split time at the slot with Dell when he gets back. A rookie receiver would take away from his development.
Here are the updated passer ratings when targeted by Stroud just for fun.

Higgins: 99.1 like Delilah (3rd best rookie receiver)
    https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/jayden-higgins/

    Collins: 100

    Dalton: 105

    Hutchinson: 97

    Noel : 93

Kirk: 50.1 and getting 55% of the snaps from the slot. It's 8 points higher than last time I posted. there is that.

the slot has to get open in any offense these days.
Stefon Diggs in 2025: leads Pats in 1st downs with a 107 rating when targeted.

Stefon Diggs in 2024: some like to misremember, led the team in first downs with a 105 rating when he went down. Was also headed for 1,000 to go with Nico's.

    I miss Stefon and Dell.

This guys a stud, previous ACL worries me though. Top/middle of the 3rd IMHO.

Is picking him in the 3rd better than picking someone at another position of possibly greater need? Jawhar and Woody have been pretty solid.

If it was me I would pick Tiernan and Siereveld at 2-58 and 3-66. This would fix a lot of what's wrong with the OL and sign a vet RB in FA. (Tyler Allgeier and Kenneth Walker are 2 guys I would be looking at in FA.)

Henry TooToo is rated by PFF as the 43rd ranked LB. PFF also rates him slightly above average in coverage. While I would like to get an LB that is much better in coverage, I'm skeptical that there will be one available to us, even in the first round. There are some LB in the draft that have good coverage scores but may not do the other things well. I hate to use a pick on a LB that turns out to be no better in coverage than what we have now.

    What I like about Price...

    - He looks really fast, has good burst, and that extra gear to blow by people
    - He's got some wiggle and cutting ability, but he doesn't waste motion laterally, no wasted motion
    - He's got a nose for the end zone-27 TDs--running, receiving and returning in 3 years (in only 317 touches)--pretty remarkable
    - Not a lot of wear and tear
    - He was born in Texas (Denison)

His combine should only reinforce what we're seeing in games. Top of the 3rd with NYG pick may be target, unless his 40 blazes and then he could sneak into RD2. I know folks will prefer him in the 4th (as would I), but RB class may dictate earlier selection.

PFF also ranked Stingley overall 29th of all CBs. They need to work on their overall ranking system...it's broken and trash.

They need a RB. Marks is serviceable - but not a threat. Jordan has wasted away on the PS for 1.5 years; unwanted by the entire league. This is the kind of thinking that got Dalton Schultz an extension.

The Texans need to upgrade RB, TE, C & RT. And I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade Ed Ingram, if you ca - though, if he's your worst OL, you're probably OK.

I'm not aware of a tight-end that in this class that will be a significant improvement. Kenyon Sadiq is the most hyped. He's a dynamic receiving threat, but he's undersized and his run-blocking and pass-blocking aren't up to the level needed to be a good, overall, TE. I want a TE that is good at protecting CJ and who can help our running game.
