It's quite obvious that the Rockets need a better point guard. I really dont have a problem with Ward. He has been playing very well for us but he just has issues that he cant do anything about. He doesnt defend very well against the more quicker stronger point guards, aka Sam, Baron, Bibby and so on. I dont really feel the need to trade him at this point. I would love to see him come off the bench and give us that veteren leadership at the point kinda like MJac did last year. Right now i think the best fit for the point guard postition would either be AD or BJ. Now the question is, is it possible to get them? Without that in mind. If you had to choose either one BJ or AD. Who would you pick to have the starting job at point for the Rockets?

Both would be great. Each played the same years (8). AD is two years younger (30) than BJ (32). Both players are capable of scoring around 10-14ppg. Both players are low TO PGs (AD at 0.9 TO last four years  ).

Bobby plays with fire! AD shoots better from the field (48%). Bobby is 37% from 3PT last year. AD is at 36% last year.

AD is 6'4 and BJ is 6'1"

    Hmmm....decisions, decisions... ;)

Bobby Jackson is the more accomplished scorer, but is that what we need? Much of his play is subject to his athleticism and he is 32 as mentioned above. Perhaps someone like Daniels that is more of a "set up" man would be better. Daniels can still be a scorer if needed and does have nice height at 6'4" to guard 1's and 2's so he is more versitile. I think Daniels would be a better choice for the type of team we have.

Hopefully the Sonics will come back to earth and play mediocre ball in December and January and then feel that they need to make some moves for their future and will look to deal Daniels. I think Daniels would be a nice addition to this team.

I like both. I think it depends on who's gonna be available in the draft. Need a 1 and a 4 next year...if we should get the 4 we're looking for in the draft, then AD. If not, then I think try your hardest to get a 4 via free agency, then draft a 1. If you can't the 4 via free agency, sign BJ to bridge the gap to the rookie 1.

My hope is Daniels keeps playing the way he has and makes Ridnour expendable. That’s the point guard I really want.

I opened this thread knowing I was in favor of BJ, but was confused why you were comparing it with A.D.

The question is who we could get. I don't know if SAC will being willing to deal Jackson, he just got back from an injury and is playing well.

Seattle is also winning, and AD just had a huge game the other night.

I would take any of these guys, no doubt. But I don't think we will be seeing a trade this early in the season, if at all.

If we some how land BJ, i really do think it'll put us over the top. We just need that extra guy who can fill it up and give us a spark in the quarter we go into a slump.

I was wondering if any of you RealGM experts and trade specialists can answer this one for me. I know its not likely, but if we're talking about getting point guards, what do we have to throw in to join the Kidd lottery?

What is the minimum we would have to give up to make the deal work?

    This response cracks me up.

    - I like one, but like the other
    - I want both, but we'll get neither.

You seem to be some what of a realist.:D

    Ha - I think "Man" is littley90210!

Bobby Jackson would be a terrible fit. Are you joking? What skill does he have that would fit with our stars? Running around like a chicken with it's head cut off?

AD, on the other hand, is hand in glove.

I guess we can forget about that now. Ridnour just had 8 assists in the first 7 minutes of their game vs. Philly...you really think they will let a guy like that go?

Only good thing is that I picked him up for my fantasy team when he was still sucking ;).
