Eva Cassidy is completely different than the Artists listed above.

Also, Pacifica was my gateway drug. That band made me want to get my current audio gear setup.

Gracie Abrams is best friends with Audrey Holbert and she has played live with Taylor Swift, so yeah she is pretty big.
Audrey's debut album sold out in minutes and her vinyl isn't even in stock. The girl is a the next big thing.

Amber Arcades has a master's degree in Law and worked at the UN before becoming a pop singer. Her Goodbye Europe is partially inspired by Brexit.

I would like to hear about your current setup. I’ve been internet window shopping and thinking about spending some stupid money.

    I have:
    • Advance Paris A10 Classic
    • Atoll Dr100 Evo Cd Transport
    • Wharfedale evo 5.1 Bookshelf Speakers
    • Audioquest Rocket 11s (8 foot)
    • Pangea Audio Premier SE Digital Cable (1 meter/3.3 feet)

I am about to add a Denafrips Hermes 15th DDC to my setup.

I also have a Sony x800m2 for movies and a Sony a75l oled 55in tv.

I subscribe to the theory that your sound is only as good as what's above it in the audio chain. Thus, if you have a crappy cd player nothing else will make it better. Garbage in, Garbage out.

I am leveraging the Advance Paris's Dac, thus I am paying 1/2 of what a quality cd player would cost getting the Atoll. It took me over a month to get the Atoll. My speakers are about a 5th of the cost of my entire setup.

I have a BUNCH of old CDs, and I even have an older Sony ES SACD player gathering dust somewhere, but other than some occasional vinyl for the novelty/nostalgia, I mainly stream music. Can’t decide what I want. Thinking maybe an eversolo T8 streamer and Z10 DAC. But then I’m also considering buckeye amp(s), and if so, maybe a tube preamp to soften them up, and then I’ll want new speakers, and then I start adding it all up…..and then I just call myself a moron for considering spending five figures on stereo equipment when I have old man hearing already. Sigh….

If you are going to stream music, I would highly suggest you get a DDC. If you are looking to get the best sound quality. Vinyl right now is damn near impossible on a budget and the upkeep is insane.
The denafrips hermes evo DDC 15th would go great with the eversolo and dac.

I think, as I said, if you do a lot of your work on the transport side then you can get some modest speakers. The wharfedale speakers are freaking great and only sound better with good equipment.

One consideration on amps and any equipment in general is that the more you stay with one company the less remotes you need.

If I had to do it over, I might have went with atoll amps, but I might not. I LOVE my setup so far.

yah……when I found myself a bit too deep down in the master clock rabbit hole is actually when I started to think that maybe my almost 40 year old Forte II’s were good enough for my crappy old ears.
