    idk bro...
many of the complaints i see against Ime were there for MDA too...

    Short rotation?
"Anybody who has an issue, doesnt know what they are talking about" - MDA

    Doesnt make adjustments?
"We dont adjust to them - they adjust to us!" - MDA

    Doesnt call time out?
"I like to let them figure it out..." - MDA

    Iso heavy? really? lol

and people acted like he was some offensive genius...

meanwhile under Ime we are the #3 offense and #4 defense... and #3 net.... despite losing our starting pg right before the season, acclimating KD as the focal point and having a bunch of youngsters still developing... i dont understand the hate...

Yup, you got it, the Prime Harden teams had no real ball movement either, it was basically all Harden.

You lived and died by Harden.

Now you got a couple good passers but still no movement, connective passing.

We just didn't hit a home run in the draft post the Harden trade, we did an OK job, but losing to Detroit and the fact they are top seed in East, they are likely better than Houston now. The lead page on ESPN explains a Spurs/Thunder rivalry, Houston it not being mentioned in this convo even though they are an avg. playoff team, they are not elite. Look at how consistent OKC is and how they man handle teams they are supposed to beat. Spurs got lucky and OKC just made so many right moves including the draft.

They will likely need to try to piecemeal a team around KD until he retires (2028?), then they will need to trade 1-2 of your favorite young Rockets for draft picks and get it right this time with a super star. They have to have smarter ppl in the draft room. Not sure if giving BKN their picks back was smart either, only time will tell. Dallas getting Flagg was not good for us. Roster needs improvement, Ime needs to improve.

im sure somebody can dig up some advanced analytic... but id be interested to know what % of our turnovers are bad passes vs takeaways and pocket picks... we do a lot of lazy passes that get intercepted... im almost like screw passing - just shoot it - even if we miss, we still got like a 40% chance of an offensive rebound.... lol
that is a key diff from Ime to MDA - the importance of effective rebounding... which i think is totally a legit focus...

The Spurs have arguably the best team right now, would love to see more rebounding matchups with them.

A 37 year old father time is undefeated hall of famer, if we are worse - this is the reason.

Ask yourself this....if you traded KD for Brooks would we be better?

Ime Udoka with plenty to say on Rockets’ late-game struggles. Says he wants Kevin Durant to stop “accepting the blitz.”

Udoka with a long list of remedies (transcribed in full ⬇️):

“Try to flip the screen, get away from it. When they're [doubling], it's not just holding and allowing them to do that.”

“Teams should be scared of Alperen in the middle and the players we have, but it's a scheme that's worked the last few games, us getting a little sloppy with those possessions.”

If you can beat [the double team] beat it, just don't turn it over and let's get a great shot up. … A big emphasis at shootaround today was was getting to our spacing and being aggressive out of it.”

"And get us another g0dd@mned distributor, at least someone who will keep the ball moving....

"And what the ***k was Rafael thinking when he signed DFS? We could use perimeter defense, our 3-point defense is ass, 48 year-old hooker ass."

"ESPN did a write-up before the season that we have guys who can barely dribble. Hasn't changed. Yet I allow everyone a chance to bring the ball up court. 'I can do it, Coach!' Sheeeeeyit. Jabari dribbles like he has two hooks for hands, like that guy from that old movie, uh, 'Best Years' Something."

KD is way better than Brooks but I take that trade back 10 times out of 10. Brooks changed the whole mindset of the team and I hated signing Brooks at first but the last thing you could call us last year was soft. We are soft now. Green wasnt a great defender but that dude gave 100 percent on defense and that is contagious.
