The bourbon bust is real. Younger consumers aren't buying it and the secondary market is hurting, too. I bought a bottle of Blanton's off the rack for MSRP at my local strip mall liquor store yesterday. That wouldn't have been possible a few years ago.
True for most alcohol sales... the only ones drinking with regularity will soon be dead or incapable of buying.
younger consumers have 0 money to spend on goods. when 75% of the paycheck goes to bills, you have nothing left to treat yourself with. alcohol industry, restaurant industry and tourism industry about to die and people gon blame the millennials and gen z for it.
I don't know what your definition of "younger" is but I don't buy expensive liquor unless it's Christmas time or another special occasion. Restaurants are too costly in general, I'd also rather cook and we still take a yearly vacation out of the country. I do feel bad for the Gen-Z's just graduating the past few years, it's a bloodbath out here. Now if a person voted for this, congrats on getting ****ed with no grease.
Always remember something around 90% of Republicans voted for Trump. Within a couple of years they will try to deny it.
