We are seeing how badly we need a competent and experienced point guard. Reed is developing well but he's still not there yet. I don't like to play the "what if Fred wasn't injured" game because then we probably see a lot less Reed and a lot less development from Reed, so it's a double edged sword. Having said that, if you could hypothetically and magically teleport FVV into the lineup for the last 6 minutes of these close games I think we are probably the 2 seed right now at like 21-5 or 22-4. We are losing these close games because we don't have someone to initiate the offense, dribble confidently despite ball pressure, and not turn it over. And Fred isn't even that good, we just do not have anyone with that skillset, and it's crucial for closing games.
lol worse shooting season - he’s never been able to shoot - He was eating because with JG and DB on court he got to play his true position as SF in dunkers spot and Bari or Tari at PF provides the spacing now he’s on ball, which he’s not comfortable with - on court with 2 other non shooters vs just 1 other non shooter in Alpi
Basically the Rockets run an Iso heavy offense without the horses to run an is so heavy offense. It’s the wrong system for the personnel they have.
My question is why did we change our line up like he had at the opening of the season? With the big line up? I hate when Kevin Duran tries to play point guard and wants to bring the ball up court. Drives me crazy he is trying to do to much and when he get double just turns the ball over.
