Maybe. CJ was terrible in the first half, I don’t know what some of those throws were. They didn’t come ready to play, that’s about all there is to it. But luckily we still won the game, so I’ll absolutely take it and move on. The Texans found ways to lose games like this the last two years (see Jets 2x, Titans, Panthers, etc etc). I’m happy we won. I don’t think that game represents some kind of bubbling volcano behind the scenes. That’s some first take analysis. Hopefully it serves as a wake up call in the middle of a winning streak - one that didn’t require an actual loss to obtain.
Myles Bryant is a huge liability. He was literally involved in every Raider score and whiffed on coverage or tackles on each of them. He is going to cost us huge in a big moment, I just know it. I'd take the chance at a washed Tyron Mathieu or Justin Simmons..both who have openly expressed interest in joining the Texans over this bum right now.
I said to myself, out loud, "was that #25, again?" on the second and third touchdowns he allowed, lol. If this defense was a military unit that dude would wash right the **** out.
I may give him a break on that long pass to Jeanty, because that looked like it might be on To'oto'o, but yeah, not great.
As bad as the offense was yesterday, our D can't give up explosive plays (we don't have the margin to do that).
Seth Payne made a good point. On the two long TD’s they more than likely wouldn’t have happened due to Azeez being out there and or keeping Texans in a 4/3 against the run. Raiders points were basically a tear off the cover to expose 39/25.
Guarantee either of those guys would be better than Bryant. But Demeco has his "guys" and I doubt he trusts someone new to come in.
Really recommend NFL plus as an app to watch All-22/Condensed game. Offensive issues were 1Q- Cj being off 2-4th largely OL getting destroyed in the run game causing Stroud to have to convert in 3rd and long all game. Run game is so important.
I thought Jordan had a low key solid game yesterday considering the poor run blocking and play calling. I fear DeMeco will go back to using Chubb as the secondary back when Woody comes back due to him being a vet.
Liam Coen is keeping their heads on straight. Unfortunately Doug Pederson is no longer there to blow games.
What's with the whining about Bowers? He's having a down year and averages 5 catches with 56 yards per game. He had 5 catches for 33 yards against us.
for the chargers game: [Jones] Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman has been suspended without pay for two games for repeated violations of playing rules intended to protect the health and safety of players.
