i guess i gotta recalibrate my expectation for the rockets now.

Rockets are now a team of blowing leads instead of mounting comebacks. It is what it is. Y'all bozo needs to stop calling the game is over until the game is actually over. Y'all never learn.

This team will rarely have come back wins. I see a quite a few collapsing losses though.

Also, they don't know how to win in OT. If it goes to OT, save yourself some time and mind as well count it as a loss.

 

KD IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SUPERRSTAR. Sengun isnt even in his prime yet. He is supposed to get reps in these situations for the future. What good is it for our future to have a 37 year old taking all the important shots??

 

Except for the Thunder - they went like 20-1 without Jalen Williams

 

You can't expect too much when 37 year old KD playing 48 minutes on B2B.

We are short handed on the court.

With Ime in charge of the ride ride, we may look like we lost the trade. Maybe we did. He’s stunted in playing poorly against poor teams. Teams don’t fall over because of KD. Thinking: all bad teams can get hyped to play good teams. The coach should will winnable games (NO, Dallas, Sac) and we struggle in winning those. The execution against strong teams isn’t usually good enough to close them out. That likely places us as a solid upper middle. Not more. Unfortunately.

It’s all rigged anyway. I won’t lose much sleep over this.

OKC included. If Jalen Williams was out for the year they would not get out of the West.

I just mean in actual playoff scenarios, most teams losing a starter you take them out of contention. The margin is that thin between like the top 5-10 teams.

 

Yeah… and he’s not just a typical starter lol.

 

I think we had reached our peak with Jalen and Dillon. I think trading for Durant gave us an opportunity to be a contender, the problem is that our starting PG got hurt before the season started. Jalen is never going to be a great player, so I'm glad we got rid of his contract. We gave it four years to see if he had the superstar DNA but unfortunately it only came in short spurts. For all the good that Dillon helped culture wise, despite the good season he is having, his talent is limited, plus he always had a way of doing stupid things at critical moments of the game. I'm not sweating not being able to draft at 10. It was a great deal without giving much up.

I think FVV is the one player we are missing from making this team complete. We all said it during the summer that the lack of PG would hurt us if FVV got hurt, and so far that has been the case. The games we have lost in the clutch have happened due to heavy on ball pressure from opposing teams and our guys being unable to consistently deal with it.

 

this was a defensive possession with a decision mistake on Taris part. Had nothing to do with him being “cold”. Just not a smart decision by Tari. How is that on Ime, quit the bs lol

 

Ime, expand your ****ing rotation, especially vs tank teams.

 

I didn't see that this game. He made three threes in the first half with KD on the floor.

 

Because we have an old guy in charge.

 

The blueprint to stopping this team is so easy: full court pressure (especially when Reed has the ball), half court traps, double KD when he has the ball, and attack Reed on defense.

I know we want Reed to be our future PG but his ball handling and defense have a LONGGGG way to go…

What a terrible way to end the week, I guess the sports Gods deemed it so at least one Houston team would lose to a bottom dwelling lottery team.

 

I think Sengun has some limitations to his game in regards to shot creation. KD is here to provide more gravity on the floor for our players, provide more spacing to operate. When Sengun's spin move to pump fake is locked down, what is his other counter besides jumping into the defender looking for a foul?
I like Sengun, he's a great player! Just don't think he's an Alpha meaning he'll be a great Pippen if we had a Jordan...

 

Let’s be real, anyone would’ve take 17-9 start when we given a Chance before season started due to 60% of our rotation is new and our new addition is major piece like KD. Seems like Reed wasn’t even getting conditioning training till this summer which indicate Reed is basically playing with Rookie legs and lung which will not work well when he had to go all out last night against Denver. I would not pass judgement till we get fully healthy Tari and DFS back, we’ve seen glimpse of how deep we’re by just having Tari inserted so let’s wait a bit before going all rabid
