... Spurs are reminiscent of a young Astros team with more topline talent and the Mavs... who made the worst trade in NBA history, lucked into Cooper Flagg because of it. Rockets may be bygone relics by the time Flagg hits 21 and Wembanyama has experience.

I do think that anyone who isn't scared of the Spurs potential is a big Rockets homer and is looking at them with rose colored glasses. They started winning a bunch of tough games without Wemby and then he came back. My hope remains that Fox and Castle can't shoot 3's and that is the way to stop them. Fox's threes are up this year, they need to drop back to his mediocre levels. Castle looks great but he still can't shoot.

The question should be "Who will stop the Thunder dynasty?"

OKC is a bigger threat than the Spurs. They still have tons of great picks despite being by far the best team and their GM is kind of a genius. Plus a guy of Wembys size has never remained healthy long term.

Spurs have a legit shot at being a dynasty...but Wemby has a legit shot at being oft injured. It's just a biological fact and so far his young career has been plagued by injuries.

Otherwise, he has the talent to be one of the best to ever play, won't deny that...but these extra large dudes have injury problems for a reason. It's not a fluke reason. Your body isn't meant to do all that over an 82+ game season every year, year in and year out AND then also being the guy carrying the French team on his back.

    Thunder: laugh in secondhand embarrassment.

Also, the logical answer of health isn't even there.

Fair point, the only thing stopping a dynasty is Wemby demanding a trade to the Lakers to rack up titles with Luka and Reaves. 35% of cap to Luka, 25% to Wemby, 25% to Reaves. Gonna be an expensive supporting cast

Somehow San Antonio always manages to avoid these headaches despite being a small market.

He's very agile and has the athleticism of a small forward. The bigs with frequent injuries like Embiid, Yao, were chunky and big boned. His build is more of a tall Kevin Garnett who was an iron man.

Wemby is a tall Garnett, who was an iron man. Other guys of Wembys size were stocky and big boned like Embiid, Yao.

They already beat OKC as a matchup nightmare

Did you miss that Spurs just lost to the NY Knickerbockers with Wemby?

They will be good but they don't have the consistency yet.

I guess you were tired of beclowning yourself in the Astros forum and wanted to bring it to the GARM.

I am thankful that I don’t view life and the world like many of the posters on this board.
