Should the Rockets build around Reed Sheppard instead?

Curry had a problem and wouldn’t be where he is now without Draymond Green. I would say Amen is better than Draymond but in terms of cerebral BBiq Draymond is up there as one of the best and Amen is not so building around Reed won’t be ideal in current NBA

I think it will be better to trade him before Ime ruin his value. I honestly don’t think Reed can thrive in this offensive system and won’t be too long before KD points out our flawed offense

If you bothered to do any Reeding.

You would understand that having a bad game, going to the bench, not getting any touches and hten getting yanked anytime you make a mistake will g generally screw with a player.

I don't think we need to build around any single one of our young guys, but instead build a team that plays well together.

Our team is a little like where AI is now. Lots of promising capabilities, but who the lead horses become is way to early to call at this point.

What I do know is Reed can play with any and all of them. He was electric today and with some actual plays run for him the results were impressive.

 

Reed and Amen (together) are the PG. Run a bit if offense through Alpi and take some responsibilities away from KD and Jabari.

 

Damn, I really hope our team isn't where AI is at right now, because that would mean we're fool's gold and our success is a bubble that's about to come crashing down. (At least in the context of large language models and generative AI models, nobody knows what the future might hold for other approaches.)

 

Lol, I think you're conflating AI with crypto as far as fools gold (and I'm one of them).

While it's a little scary, it's also an exciting time to be alive. The incredible technology advancements I've seen in my lifetime are truly amazing and GenAI will likely blow all of that away.

 

Eh, probably not the right subforum to get into a lengthy discussion about this, but I'll just say as a programmer and someone who has heard from experts in the field, I think they're barking up the wrong tree and what we're seeing right now is more or less all we're going to get from the current approaches (and it's highly error-prone and its current usefulness has been massively overblown)

I do agree with your take that we don't know exactly what the pecking order is going to be on this team in the long run and we have a number of very promising young players, and Reed is one of them

Draymond had exactly one season scoring 14 ppg and that was arguably their most dominant season.

Few are truly better defensively, as much as we are rivals, Dray was hands down a Top 12 Defender of All time if not Top 6.

KD and Adams are going to retire some day soon and people are already knowing Curry so Reed would not be sneaking up on them as Curry did.

Alperen Sengun - just focus inside the paint, stop over dribbling and shooting out of balance 3s. Stop being a knucklehead in last second shots. Give the ball to Kevin Durant or Reed Sheppard both of them can create a shot off the dribble.

 

In the short run, but try that ish 2 years down the road, and I bet teams are planning against that now.

That is why draft picks are so important, get another guy that can shoot and finish strong thru the draft.
