All it takes is a blow by and next thing he knows is staring at Aaron Holiday’s a$$ for most of the rest of the game.
Good points. In this game there was a lot less Amen, Sengun, KD, Jabari bringing the ball up and initiating the offense while Reed was on the floor. His passing has always been really good, even in college. I think part of his issues in the NBA have been mostly about adjusting to the size, athleticism and physicality in the NBA. These are things that you only get better at by playing. Hes always had the vision and feel for the game, but now that hes getting a chance to play he's learning how to manipulate defenses with his eyes and angles. He's learning what he can get away with. He's telegraphing passes less and not giving away where hes going with the ball until the last second. Far from a finished product and mistakes will always be made. Just hope for continued growth and that the positive/great plays start to become a lot more common and the mistakes become a lot less common.
Is it just me or is Reed getting taller? Lebron swears that KD is 7 ft tall but look at them side by side thats not a foot difference between the 2( Reed is 6'1.75 during the draft combine). I also noticed there isnt a huge diff between Bruce Brown and Reed when they were jawing at each other and Brown is 6'4.
I have literally been thinking the same. Some estimates have him closer to 6'3" Posture is a lot of it too. People that are confident stand taller. He looked the same size as brown, if anything brown's height is probably overestimated
I think there's a bigger chance Reed grew an inch or 2 he was only 20 at the combine. Growing an inch does a lot we can see how much Sengun improved from a couple inches of growth.
I loved this game. Not only did Reed play and shoot well, he shot very well after missing two critical ones in New Orleans. That is impressive resiliency.
Reed was great tonight. I hope Ime learned something from how well the offense runs when you actually set picks and guys are moving, instead of standing around watching KD.
All of that with only 1 TO. And against one of the best teams in the league. He was having fun out there. On a side note, he's really become close with KD and I think he took that Brown trash talk personally. He was out to defend KD's honor.
I love him KD isn’t just another star to Reed, but an entire icon. Reed was 3 years old when Kevin Durant got drafted. He literally grew up watching KD. That was respect turning into fire.
And doesn’t even have anything to do with reeds own shots. KD wouldn’t have been crowded like he was and could get a couple quality looks up at the very least
