Lol… Is this a joke? Udoka has never won the locker room to begin with. Anyone who thinks Udoka actually has authority in that locker room simply does not know this team. In recent years, the real locker-room leaders were Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks. Especially FVV — his impact was massive. Even on his worst nights, he made sure players stayed disciplined in their body language and behavior. Brooks is gone. The team’s defensive mentality collapsed. FVV is injured. There is no one left to act as the veteran voice, the big brother. Ime already failed to establish control over the players, and now you can clearly see a power vacuum — even a kind of dual authority emerging. At this point, there is no team anymore. What you see on the floor are kindergarten kids desperately trying to prove themselves. Watch the video below. When Şengün gets the block and yells “give me that s**t”, the players on the bench and the coaching staff stare at him with blank faces — as if they were Sacramento Kings fans watching an opposing highlight. Completely detached. Completely clueless. Well maybe not the locker room but many fans are realizing that he isn't even an average coach....he just isn't that good at coaching basketball. DD
