solid core player currently 1st in BPM https://www.nba.com/stats/players/traditional?CF=TEAM_ABBREVIATION*E*HOU&dir=A&sort=PLUS_MINUS and 3rd in Net Rating https://www.nba.com/stats/players/advanced?CF=TEAM_ABBREVIATION*E*HOU&dir=A&sort=NET_RATING
This dude is a scrub. The way people give him credit for being playable when in reality he was the THIRD pick and has never shown third pick qualities.
He’s a guy. JAG. Post all the advanced stats and net ratings and plus minus you want. JAG. And a certain someone will bump this his next good game. “I tHoUgHt yOu sAiD hEs jUsT a GuY?!” (As a Jalen hater myself) It’s incredible how much **** Jalen got yet these other top 4 picks, barely a peep.
It’s funny cause Jalen got hate for being inconsistent. Looking like a superstar one night and a bust the next meanwhile Jabari gets praised for being consistently mediocre. It’s almost like he gets an advantage because he never showed the ability to be that guy so they never got their hopes up. It’s backwards.
Well, pretty much all these player threads are like that. The guy has a good game, all his fans come out to say "I told you so!" The guy has a bad game, all his doubters/haters come out to say "I told you so!" It's inevitable.
Learn to play without dribbling. When he dribbles it’s a turn over. Learn to play without passing. When he passes, it’s a turnover. Can you please shoot better than 36%? Is that too much to ask?…since u were drafted to be a um …shooter?
He makes horrible decisions..... I remember it was late in the 4th when they trapped Durant....and Durant passed it to Jabari.... and was waiting for the ball to come back.... but Jabari was like I got this and then shot the flattest shoot that had no chance of going in.
Totally agree. Jalen got ripped so much here for being a yo yo, yet Jabari has a much easier ride among fandom because expectations are so much lower. Jabari also doesn't annoy people in ways that Jalen did. While I don't think Jabari has made much (if any) legit progress this season so far, there are still 59 games left. I haven't completely given up on him yet. Let's re-examine during the ASB.
there’s no hierarchy or structure on offense outside of KD. the lack of X’s and O’s highly exposes our core players. look at what Joc is doin in Memphis. Look at what Jalen was doin when he played in Phoenix. Look at kPJ in Milwaukee. The spacing and offensive movement is jsut so superior to what we got goin here in Houston, I don’t think Amen Jabari or even Reed will ever reach their peaks here in Houston Ime running JVG offense ain’t goin get us to the promise land. Every thread about our draft picks are mainly negative this year
Jabari Bust Jr. is shooting 28.9% from 3 point in his last 7 games with the majority of those wide open.
You know you are scraping the bottom of the barrel while justifying your argument if you point to the just under 30 minutes of basketball Jalen Green has played this entire year as proof that Ime's system is trash. Even if you had a valid point(and you might), it makes people not want to listen to your trash arguments if you are using trash stats you don't understand to make your point. Even Jock's stats look fairly similar to Houston's Jocks numbers - he is just playing double the minutes which gives him better numbers at similar efficiency to his Houston era.
I’m not talking about jsut numbers. I’m talking about how they’re playing. How they’re laying within a system. Ives seen a coupe of memeojis games and Joc jsut looks more comfortable and consummately more professional as a rotations player. He looks like the Landale from the end of his Phoenix tenure that had him playing over Ayton. Jalen had one game but in that one game he actually had space to operate play. Man y’all will make excuse after excuse for ime poor offensive system.
Come on guys, the person who he deified growing up (KD) and FVV were on a podcast saying Bari should get more iso shots and he's taken a step up. It got to his head a little. I'm willing to excuse that. I'm with you in that there's ZERO EXCUSE for him not shooting 38% from 3 by the end of this season. Can't stress that enough, for me Jabari is on the hot seat because I'm sick of him pretending like he's a good shooter or that it's a foregone conclusion. I'm sick of him melodramatically pretending like he's secretly as good as Jayson Tatum except in confidence. I'm sick of him now spending 3 summers in a row working on his Jayson Tatum skills and acting like being a Klay Thompson type is beneath him. On the hopeful side, at this exact point last season, he went on a 1-month tear IIRC before he broke his wrist. So I'm not ready to be hyper critical of him yet. I'm hoping this is the season he starts wanting to be himself. Once he's shooting well, playing great D and rebounding well - then he can work on being Jayson Tatum for the rest of his career. Ime also has a role in this. His team's shot selection is out of control. We take the most midrange in the league and we're one of the worst at it. Why on earth would we take the fewest 3's and the most midrange, does this seem like a good idea to anyone? Does he understand that's the reason we need all these offensive rebounds aka band aids? Bounce back game coming for Bari. Don't worry about it.
