Cade is so filthy that draft still haunts me imagine if we came out of there with Cade and Sengun…still probably would’ve ended up with Jabari and Amen too Cade Dillon Brooks Amen Bari Sengun
Why do you as a league need a tournament for “high intensity basketball”? Why do you as players need a tournament and monetary reward to play “high intensity basketball”? I don’t care about hockey or futbol so I don’t care what they do but there’s no in season tournament in football or baseball. High intensity ball? That’s called the playoffs. Again, you need to be rewarded to play hard? Already went over this. Gimmick tournament with gimmick courts because everyone knows the season unofficially starts on (and probably don’t really start watching until) Christmas. So you do this stupid ass tournament from Halloween until Christmas to try to get the viewers attention and hope the players play hard. And now you lost Christmas to the NFL (lol; although this year is not a very good slate NFL wise but will still probably do better than the NBA.)
All I know is that I'm being entertained by a mid dec basketball game because the quality of play is better than any previous mid dec game before the NBA cup. Who cares if a monetary reward is needed, it's not my money.
the NBA Cup has been a good thing, and I was someone who thought it would be trash when it came out that the NBA would be doing this I don’t get the hate for it the OKC game was some good basketball, and this game has been good too I enjoyed the Rockets getting the opportunity to play in Vegas last year
Castle has definitely leveled up this year, but I don't think he's going to be a superstar. Harper needed <10 games to figure out the NBA. I see a superstar in the making.
Love how the announcers were slobbing all over the Spurs... "I feel sorry for other NBA teams....I don't know how teams expect to compete with these guys..." As they go on to lose....
Harper has to improve his overall shot but he is even more mature than Castle was....who I believe is 2 years older. It is a pretty good tandem for the future.....Amen lite and Cade lite.
...because players and teams focus on tournaments and money. The NBA has tried fining teams into intensity for the regular season. It hasn't worked. The Cup from what I've seen has worked in improving intensity and the quality of the basketball played. Just need to remove the colored courts and improve scheduling.
