how does losing a game in the regular season matter that much. In the Playoffs Ime will play the guys he thinks gives us the best chance to win. Regular season ain't that important brosef

Players will still develop, but we're now paying an aging player $200 million who's averaging closer to 40 minutes than 30.

Rockets don't make that trade *after* Fred's injury. His health makes this season basically worthless IMO.

 

How does losing your starting PG (on a team lacking PG depth) matter that much?

In the playoffs, he won't be there either.

 

It was a very frustrating game last night. I watched a Denver feed, and they said Hardaway tripped on his own when watching the replay.
Then at the end of OT, we had Segun shooting a 3 where he's now 3-20 on threes in his last 10 games. One of those games, he was 2-4, so taking that out, he's 1-16.

 

Player development isn't worthless, it's part of the process

Most of the time teams don't win a chip until their best player is at least 25, usually more like 28-32ish. I guess you could argue KD is supposed to be that guy for this team, but he's never been able to be that guy before, his only rings were as #1B to Curry. And he isn't what he was during that period now anyway. Sengun has probably already surpassed him, and probably isn't yet good enough to the best player on a championship team.

 

i've been called a hater for having that exact opinion.. i love the rockets, not a specific player. until he learns how to shoot at a least a passable level, he is going to be a liability for the team on offense, especially in the playoffs.

 

My point was players could've developed this season *with* Durant and Fred. If the Rockets theoretically advanced an extra round this year with Fred, it would automatically equal more experience, bigger games, for all the young players. Now, we have to wait until next year to incorporate Fred (should be smooth, but it won't be as instant as already playing one year).

Plus there's the fact KD is averaging too many minutes (already showing decline).

Combining those factors makes this year basically a waste - unless PG is upgraded externally.

 

Sengun is asked if he gets the same calls Jokic gets. "No, hell no". Later adds, "Eventually, I'll get there".

 

Eventually? Bro you play for the Houston Rockets.

Those INC calls account for 4 to 6 points in a 3 point game. The first two were quite obvious during live play.

Nobody get punished for these incorrect calls. Game outcome won't be changed. The report is ****ing useless.

 

yep been saying this for years and got threats from the sengun hate mob. even tho he’s fouled less he still makes a lot of silly mistakes in these critical moments. Between him Amen KD and Sheppard they all made silly turnovers and mistakes especially when we had momentum. Clean this up and we can beat anyone. Margin of error is small in this league
