I need this with Rockets feed tho I bet Ryan ruins it with his annoying what he thinks is a catchphrase and just lame AF. As his partner Craig, I would’ve told him to knock it off and just shut up in those moments or be natural.

Yes and no. Im not at "Sengun isnt that guy" or anywhere near that. But after watching a dude that couldn't get it done for years because of certain things, I can certainly see the signs. There are some red flags I'm not liking.

Sure, could have run a different play, but Jabari was open here.

imo, poor recognition by Sengun and Jabari that the pitch-back to the inbounder was there, due to inbound defender not guarding Jabari.

Balls is in Sengun’s hands, Jabari should have cut already. Murray has to take Jabari leaving Aaron for a corner three.

full replay, Jabari has to cut. This is a common situation for inbounder when their defender isn’t guarding them

Jabari has a very low basketball IQ. & Sengun wants to be hero playing vs his Dad.

All around I hate this play & positioning. Sengun shouldn't touch the ball.

And it’s not like we don’t pitch back to the inbounder, either. I’ve got clips of us doing it this year.

We get screwed by the refs and people are blaming the guy who put up 33/10/10. Give me a break.

after that foul call with 2.5sec left it was clear DEN wasn’t going to be allowed to lose this game no matter how preposterous the visuals

These are valid points - but it is going to take some time for them to be used to being in this position (close and high stakes late in games) for them to make the proper decisions.

Sengun isn't why the Rockets lost.

In fact, Sengun and Sheppard were the two younger guys willing to take shots down the stretch.

Sheppard had a terrible start shooting the ball, Sengun was good basically the whole game.

Some fans will complain about "Babe Ruth" Jokic basically scoring or assisting every possession down the stretch - but he has been the best player in the world for the last half decade.

Just the fact that the Rockets kept fighting back and it went to OT, and they didn't quit in OT is a very good sign going forward.

The shooting of Sheppard is a bummer - but I am more excited that he kept taking shots down the stretch, in the past he would have gone into a shell.

There are a lot of weapons on this team - they are very well coached - and they can beat you in a lot of ways.

    Yep.

Still frustrating because we’ve executed the pitch-back before … we have a play for it even. Not like it’s an uncommon situation that we don’t practice.

It’s simple. If you are a 3PT shooter inbounding the ball and the defense doesn’t guard you, that means you are open.

We always find ways to lose big games on the road. Have done it for decades. Just tired of it man. Win a close game for once.

It comes with team maturity. This team needs time.

I think the plan was for Sengun to take the shot, and they didn't have a backup one. You can see how KD draws two before the inbound to free up Sengun but has no interest in moving again. It looks like he already knows Sengun is going to take the shot. They did have time and they could try to get the ball to Jabari(similarly no definite movement from him), KD or Holiday and resort to a Sengun 3 as the last option. But from the way they move, it looks like it was a set play with no options.

No Warriors* but all three Texas teams.

Spurs are very good, plus Flagg just scored most points by youngest player. Good for Texas I guess, but I'd rather DAL and SA suck.

*oh snap... GS playing a non-late game.

The 2 tech freethrows at the end of the first half were almost necessary. The broadcast showed Jokic elbowing Sengun in the back twice on the same play with no shooting foul. It was that kind of night. Refs needed an enema.

When FVV went down, my immediate thought was that we would still win plenty of games in the regular season but that it would cost us a chance at a championship as constructed due to the loss of defense, ball handling, playmaking and a veteran floor general to organize the offense. And unfortunately, the Rockets have done nothing to change my opinion on that front, going winless against OKC, Denver, Detroit and San Antonio so far.

Also, team got ****ed by the refs also. Seen it countless times where people's feet get tangled or someone trips due to inadvertent contact and it's ruled legal incidental contact. It's even in the rulebook. Suddenly a light graze is a foul.
