I don't want him out there unless he's bringing that Big D`ck energy. Don't come out to play if you don't have it day 1. Rest until you're ready.

It's not really expediting anything. He was supposed to be out 4-6 weeks. Yesterday marked 4 weeks since the diagnosis.

    They’ll probably do a minutes-restriction ramp up.

Had to look it up. Matches the original injury

An oblique injury, also known as a side strain, involves damage to the oblique muscles located on the sides of the abdomen.

I will be SHOCKED if he's not injured again for an extended period before the season is over.

Yeah it is a strain, usually heals in a couple of weeks - he got bumped awkwardly - they are being cautious taking 4 weeks, I am sure he is fine, or at least hope he is.

Wtf they better not be rushing it or pushing him. Look at how bad injuries have gotten in the league.

"Hoping" he plays on Monday means he's not 100% sure. There's no emergency right now, we're fine and not in need of an uncertain and rusty Tari.

Let him be 100% sure. On a selfish-to-Tari note: dude, the last guys who risked injury for Ime got nothing for it, no contract. Robert Williams and Marcus Smart and Grant Williams all played through bad injuries for him and look where they are now. All broken. You don't know who the coach is going to be in the future. Ime is not the one who will extend you. Why are you rushing back?

Tari is clearly an over-promiser. He has to mature from that.

I don't think I've heard this one before about Ime forcing guys to rush back; both Robert Williams and Marcus Smart were already signed to 4-year extensions during 2021-2022 before Ime took over coaching duties; they had already secured their bag. Grant Williams played a full season injury free after Ime had left the Celtics, and secured a lucrative contract with the Mavericks in a sign-and-trade. Can't really blame Udoka for Grant Williams tearing his ACL+meniscus two teams and two years later. Robert Williams has averaged 33 games per season across his entire career; he's been a ticking time bomb for injury. Marcus Smart played a full season with Boston the year after Ime as well, and when he was traded to Memphis to fill the spot vacated by Dillon Brooks, I think most people were thinking that was going to be a strict talent upgrade for that squad.

Makes sense now to get Tari eased back into the rotation; they can keep him on a minutes restriction while he ramps up, or could even do a bit of a "platoon" split with Steven Adams for B2Bs over the next two months, having each of them play one half of the B2B and sitting the other.

The Rockets got very fortunate that their schedule has been light while both Tari and DFS have been rehabbing. They're going to need the extra bodies now as their schedule catches back up to the rest of the league; it's really not ideal that they have 3 players in the top 8 for mpg, with Jabari at #31.

You can blame Ime for a lot of things, but fluke injuries is not one of them. I do think he needs to rest Durant more, not only because he needs to be ready for the playoff, but because it will open the floor up for Amen and Reed to operate. We need to see if they can run a real offense, just not one that dribbles it across the half-court line and hands it to Durant or Sengun.

What on earth are you talking about dude? What "full season" did Smart play after Ime he played 61 games.

    Since 21-22:

Smart: 71, then 61, then 20 games played
    Wiliams: 61, 35, 6
Grant: Tore his knee up shortly after

You will see the same pattern in JVG and Thibs players. All their guys are gimpy after a few years of being coached by these people.

He rushed Tari back from that initial injury talking about toughness and enduring pain, and then acted like a mouse when it backfired and not giving information about what happened.

He has always overplayed his players and in those minutes his defense is brutal and as the cherry on top his paint is packed so every point you score requires more bumps and bruises. He's a reckless guy with this stuff and you can see that he even did it to himself in his career.
