Rox over the hump. OKC’s season finally started, Denver’s will soon. And watch out for… the Kings?

I swear the NBA did this on purpose to make a storyline out of OKC challenging for best regular season record. Always generates interest. Those 72-10 Bulls were referenced ad nauseum for decades.

    https://www.tankathon.com/remaining_schedule_strength

OKC & Denver were (gifted?) probably cursed with an easy front loaded schedule, whereas the not-media-darling Rockets have quietly gotten over the hump.

And before all of the statistics PhDs claim that this is an overreaction because it’s “only” a .08 difference between first and worst in that list, consider that the freaking Kings — the 6-19, 13th in the West, 3rd worst record in the league, fully healthy Kings — have the 7th best odds in the West to win the championship this year. Odds tied with 3rd ranked (in the east) Boston & better than Philly & Miami. And that is because they are dead last in that list with the easiest remaining schedule. Fortunately the Rockets are down there with them only separated by a few points. The race for best record in the West will be closer than most are anticipating

I've never understood why rockets fans have such low self worth. We're not treated like the big markets. But we are treated like the 6th biggest market, which is better than most.

You can't go through all of life not caring what anyone thinks, but if there's ever been a situation where what people say doesn't matter, this is it.

OKC is being over hyped because it's good for clicks. It's good for us too, let it get to their heads and light a fire under our players. They're barely more talented than us but we've got more heart and grit - enough to close the talent gap in a playoff series.

Shai won't score more on Amen than Durant will on anyone who guards him. We have their king checked. I'll happily take the rest of our roster vs the rest of theirs. I'm more worried about Denver because we have no answer for their king.

We haven't even seen a healthy roster (minus FVV) yet. OKC has had literally the easiest schedule in the NBA. Wait till you see our second half. Amen and Reed seasoned. Durant getting into gear. Team healthier and more chemistry. We good.

Just keep building and working quietly. The air around us is the same as the air around OKC and DEN in their title seasons. I believe.

Are you talking about the 1st seed or the Kings, I feel that can be separated.

Spurs did a good job last night of keeping their space on SGA. Used length and let him shoot middies with space. Kept him off the line.

I think that is the way to beat them.

Wish KD didn't fall for the pump, or hit a FT that night.

Watching last nights game (SAS vs OKC) proves that any team can be beaten if shots are falling. OKC had easier looks but their shot wasn’t falling but SAS were hitting difficult shots in the end. If they played playoff series I don’t think it’s gonna be close one probably 6 game series, but this year it will be crucial to get favorable standing to advance further. It’s will be great if we get 2nd and Lakers get 3rd but we shall see

OKC and SAS are a matchup nightmare for Houston in a playoff series.

Also I doubt they would have the same effects if Wemby started, sure their start would be more electric but there would be no great guy coming off the pine no more.

Wemby is must TV but I still managed to fall asleep due to fatigue.

Honestly… Houston is the matchup nightmare for them. They have the size and length to bother both teams.

Coaching on that drive was god awful. They threw the ball to their number one target each time and no Stingley/Pitre/Lassiter in sight on him.

I'm not counting on anything because we have so many B2Bs ahead and we are 7-12 on them dating back to the beginning of last season. But if we can get and keep everybody healthy I do think we still have a chance at 60 wins. Going to be tough though.

This is a ridiculous article and OKC being this good makes the NBA season pointless for a lot of fans. Just like the Warriors era made a lot of NBA start losing interest in the NBA. This will do the same thing. The Rockets arent over the hump we suck. Its a matter of time before we are 5th or 6th in the west. We no longer take care of the little teams enough to be top 2 again. We are worse than last year imo. Durant trade was stupid because he is too old now. And the Kings arent doin ****.

Youre right I should just lie about everything and pretend this article is right. Ive seen the error in my ways because of you. Durant plays like he is 23 and never gets tired and we will win all of our B2B's. We will win a chip this year and so will the Kings and OKC is the best team ever and will never lose another game again and every NBA fan will love it. Being stupid and delusional is fun!

Im def jealous they have players that actually have the balls to show up for big games. We seem to never have those.

OKC has had the league’s easiest schedule & have the hardest remaining schedule. Rockets have had a top 5 hardest schedule & one of the easiest remaining schedules. That difference can easily be worth the handful of games that separate us & OKC
