Fullback seems to be a legacy position that maybe should be removed and replaced with slot corner or just add the latter. While I love the old FBs, there is no one in today's game that has their kind of impact.
Not having to play next to Green/Scruggs also happens. I told y'all Tunsil would play at an all pro level with better talent around him.
15 of his 19 penalties last year were false starts or illegal formations. I'm not quite sure what the players around him have to do with those.
Most of those 19 penalties were false starts. Tunsil no longer leads professional football in false start penalties because the players next to him are better?
I am pretty sure the Texans still lead the league in illegal formations this year so it sounds like the problem is our coaching and not Tunsil
Not saying you're wrong, but wrt to Tunsil only 2 of those 15 last year were illegal formation, the rest were false starts. https://www.nflpenalties.com/player/l-tunsil-houston-texans?year=2024
Damn, so coaching not only makes CJ throw inaccurate passes and fail to read defenses, but they also made Tunsil commit false start penalties? That must be some really bad coaching.
It has a lot to do with the center. After Patterson began starting Tunsil played much better. Plus those stats were skewed by the 6 false start Vikings game. Bottom line is he's playing at an all pro level with better talent around him
So far this is his lowest penalty count when not counting the injury shortened season in 2021 (5 games with 1 penalty). If he keeps it up this is the 4th time he managed to keep it under 10. The other 3 seasons are As a rookie in 2016 - 6 MIA 2018 - 8 HOU 2020 - 7
Ah yes, the much better talent of the Commanders.....the 3-10 team with the 24th ranked offense....compared to the Texans and their 20th ranked offense. Tunsil is looking for one final payday, so he's putting forth more effort this season than he did last season. That's the only difference.
