Think trailer was good marketing. But this is DC. So it’s still sketch. Plus not sure the mad max villain is all that interesting. All said, will watch.
Definitely Guardians of the galaxy vibes which is not a bad thing. DC movies are better when there is some levity other than batman.
So what "origin story" is this Supergirl following? She's had a ton of them over the years. This one seems like an 18 year-old alcoholic that goes to one too many frat parties and aspires to work on the Walmart night-shift by her 50s. lol.
This feels like Temu Guardians of the Galaxy without the talented and charismatic cast while missing the entertaining team dynamics. Hope there is more to it because right now it looks mediocre.
Spoiler This version is Kara is from Tom King's eight issue comic miniseries Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. This iteration will be a little darker as she suffers from PTSD and survivor's guilt and tries to medicate and forget by drinking,
How do folks from Krypton get drunk? Wouldn't their superpowers counteract alcohol? If not, that's a major weakness for someone like Lex to exploit. And can you imagine what Batman would think of a drunk Superman?
