Indeed I am surprised by half a b. It’s wrecking shop in Asia. If it hits China I may end up being wrong about a billion. Pretty cool and I’m excited to see the continued growth of a medium and genre I’ve loved since I was a kid (battle of the planets, speed racer and gundam are what comes to mind). https://www.the-numbers.com/movie/D...ovie-Infinity-Castle-(2025-Japan)#tab=summary
Giyu and Tanjiro vs Akaza was the highlight of the film by far you just know those animators were locked in a basement for months away from family to make something that visually impressive
There's a Berserk board game coming out. It is also in English. https://gamefound.com/en/projects/monolith-board-games-sarl/berserk-the-board-game/updates
I saw the Chainsaw Man movie online yesterday, and if you thought the Demon Slayer fight scenes looked amazing, this was on an entirely different level movie started out very slow the 1st first 30 or so minutes, but once it gets going it’s all gas, no brakes
A big-screen adaptation of the popular anime “Chainsaw Man” has beaten out a biopic about the Boss and the horror sequel “Black Phone 2” to top the North American box office. It's the latest win for an anime film, less than two months after “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle” debuted to a record $70 million, setting a new high mark for anime in theaters.
One Punch Season 3 is pretty good, although I wouldn't advise watching it week by week. Gachiakuta is also good but all the characters feel pretty cookie cutter despite the great animation.
I saw someone complaining about Season 2 Gachiakuta - I see this all the time. but have not dove in yet Rocket River
I’ve never watched it, but I’ve seen nothing but disdain for OPM season 3 because apparently the studio isn’t even trying look at how they animated this dude going down the hill
Season 2 and 3 of One Punch focus a lot less on the main character which isn't very surprising considering the show is about the most OP character ever. Definitely some filler episodes where they introduce characters. Maybe just a different overall vibe? I still like it and the animation cranks up during the fight scenes. Gachiakuta is a somewhat novel idea wrapped in a lot of cliche characters but it is entertaining.
