I know many will continue to apologize for Bob and his offspring, as he "brought pro football back to Houston". But, the truth of the matter is until we have new ownership, it'll be same album, different song. Trying to take the shortcut via FA rather than drafting a foundation..and building the right way set the stage for a quarter century of football buffoonery (with the exception of several seasons) brought to you by the Good Ole Boys Network. Oh, they're great at bilking us, rubes, but when it comes to longterm strategy and hiring the right people (including sticking with these fools waaaay too long)... they continue to get it wrong. It's just an astounding display of greed, incompetence, and apathy. Some of you might believe they'll get it right eventually, but this Native Houstonian is saddened to the core about what could have been, as well as the future of pro football in our city. Houston happens to rest on the most fertile recruiting soil in the world....with some of the greatest fans. We deserve better...much better.

Demeco needs to find/hire his offensive version of Wade Phillips

I wouldn't trust Caserio, Cal, or DeMeco with that task.

    They all need to go.

In a perfect world, it would be great to have Ryans stay as DC, but that won't happen.

How are the McNairs any better or worse than other NFL owners? As far as I can tell they're fans of the Texans and want to win. I think they're trying their best. Unfortunately their GM hasn't been good enough to take the team to an elite level. In fact their GM's catastrophic off-season draft and free agency set all of us back. Now if the McNairs don't replace Caserio by the end of the season then I'll agree that they're holding back the team.

I stand corrected. The McNairs are either uncaring or incompetent as evidenced by Caserio doing absolutely nothing before the trade deadline.

As fans we can only hope that the franchise gets lucky and somehow stumbles into a Super Bowl berth one of these years.

They do enough to get ticket sales.
When it comes to "The Product" they put on the field, fans settle for mediocrities, and whine for more sucka with A side of meatball soup.

I was done with the Texans after Wade Jr experience 2012 when they lost to NE..

I don't know, the McNair's don't deal with the day-to-day stuff so I don't put any of that on them, my criteria for a good owner is, are you giving the GM and HC all the resources they ask for, I have not seen a case where they haven't ever said NO.............they have won back to back Divisions so as much as I hate Nick, this season isn't over so we`ll see what happens

I hear you, but they put in the GM, HC, etc...that make decisions. And let fools like Easterby run amok.

    Why do you hate Nick?

I cant wait to see what he does moving around with what should be 4 top 76 picks plus two 4th rd picks in next yrs draft.

    I know it's crazy, right!?!

Our defense being 86 Bearsesque... it almost makes one feel anythings possible.

Obviously, our offense is the other side of the coin.
No OL, Bad OC, no full load RB, no WR to stretch the D, no TE, and DeMeco screwing up ingame decisions. (clock management)

    Still, here we are.

I think they can get away with quite a bit during the regular season, but need at least a mediocre offense, or some semblance of a running game... to make hay after the first round.

    Go Texans! :cool::D

A good owner just signs the checks. He doesn’t meddle with coaching or personnel decisions.
