I am penciling in both Michigan and Arizona into the Final Four. They both look awesome. Iowa St. might join them. Coogs will have to improve considerably. The Big 12 is going to be brutal. Nothing new.

Last year we wet 19-1 in the Big 12. This year there are 3 or 4 teams possibly better than us. At least for now anyway. But it is still first week of December. Still time to make adjustments and get better.

This year we only play 18 conference games. Read somewhere we are projected to go 13-5 and a couple of teams ahead of us to tie for best record at 15-3. It is going to be a grind. BYU, Kansas, Iowa State, and Arizona are all vastly improved this year.

Can't wait to see if we are up to the challenge. We can do it but several of our players are going to have to play smarter and play up to their potential. I trust CKS to get us there. Maybe not #1 seed in tournament this year but respectful enough positioning where we can have a shot at the end of the day to go all the way this year.

Well, Jackson State started well. Sorta dropped off after that.

Harwell has the potential to be a stud

I've been saying it, but he's a guy who once he gets in the scheme of things after missing all summer can be a total game-changer in the 2nd half of the season.

eta: also AWESOME to see Jacob McFarland on the court for his 1st UH game!

Harwell and Sharp are going to be deadly from the perimeter and both are active on the defensive side of the ball.
I forgot about McFarland but that was awesome to see him. He just has the look of being a very good player.

UH needs another big, and he is that big if/when he gets back into shape (coming off 2 horrible injuries) and can play good minutes.

Almost lost in the excitement of tonight's win Tugler goes the entire game without committing a single foul.

    Great to see McFarland appearance.

Hope we get good news on Sahko. He loked like he may have hperextended a knee or something when Harwell fell into him.

If Flemings and Cenac are going to be the darlings of the NBA scouts this season, they need to be more consistent. I am O.K. with them staying a few seasons. What's up with Uzan?

Tugler is not human. Did you see that shot he blocked near the top of the backboard? They called goal tending. I thought it was a clean block. Only a robot could get that one.

I think Uzan is at his best as primary ball handler. And, that's not happening whilst Kingston is on the court.

Sampson typically likes to play 8 guys when they get into conference play. I don't see how he does that this year. And I think not having a big you can throw the ball into for a bucket when you desperately need one (J'Wan Roberts) is going to get us.

    My 8-Man Rotation
    Kingston Flemings
    Milos Uzan
    Emanuel Sharp
    Joseph Tugler
    Chris Cenac
    Isaiah Harwell
    Kalifa Sakho
The last spot is going to M. Miller, R. Walker, or C. McCarty

J’wan Roberts missed so many bunnies in his career. He was not a reliable scorer in the post. He absolutely killed us with all the infuriating point blank misses in the championship game.

J'wan was a plough horse and an overachiever.

Changes nothing about what I said.

he was a good defender. He was even an adequate passer. He was not a good scorer. He was not a reliable answer in the post at all.

I totally agree with you about missing the chippies. Dude was undersized (which contributed to those misses), but got the most out of it.
