The movie event of the year!! 30 mins of unseen footage, please don’t let it be AI, bring it home QT bring it home!!
Tarantino fan and have seen it many times. Curious about the additional unseen footage and will likely check it out. That film will be a good movie theater experience regardless.
Hope there’s bathroom breaks. I recognize that pulp fiction is the greatest, but kill bill is my favorite.
I've never been as big a fan of the Kill Bill movies as many other Tarantino fans. I love most of his films but those didn't work for me as well. But I admit, it's been a looooong time since I saw either of them. Maybe I'll use this event as a reason to rewatch.
I always looked at it as 2 different movies… and they are very different. I did think splicing them or even getting scenes rearranged would be a more immersive experience and would feel different than just watching each one individually. It was probably what he wanted to do orignally, but nobody had the attention span for a 4+ hour movie… many probably still don’t, but this (and the godfathers I and II, and the sound of music) deserve the full undivided TWO vhs attention.
This is now my favorite Quentin Tarantino movie. The definitive version of this film to see on the big screen. Oh man do the colors pop out of the screen, and the soundtrack? Absolute banger!!! Go see it!! Stay after the credits for the Fortnite stuff
My son saw it this past weekend. Sad part was they did not show on an IMAX format locally. Yes there is a bathroom break
Took a half day to see it last Friday in 70mm, I thought it was great. New scene is in the animated O Ren backstory which is solid, a few other moments are just slightly longer and the fight vs the crazy 88s is in full color which is fun. The 2nd half of the film, part 2, is leaner since they've removed the recap portion of the original release. If you are a fan of these film, I'd say this is must see on the big screen even though there's still a noticeable tone shift in between part 1 and 2.....
Underrated movie. Funny how it features strong roles for women but much of the female audience seems to hate it (and not only for its over-the-top violence, as Tarantino is wont to do). Uma Thurman got robbed of an Academy Award nomination. No, seriously. If they can nominate Julia Roberts for "Pretty Woman" or if Harvey Weinstein's money can get Best Actress for Gwyneth Paltrow or Jennifer Lawrence......
