I think he is way past what anybody expected given how bad he was just last season. For a young player you just want to see evidence of a high ceiling, the consistency will come as he ages.

Those guys have done a commendable job playmaking for the team this season but even they would benefit immensely from being play finishers instead of play starters. This is what FVV would have done this year. Imagine being the other team guarding a Sengun-FVV pick and roll with Reed in the short corner, Amen in the dunker spot and KD on the wing. That would be hell. I'm not necessarily advocating for a big swing Trae Young type (though I wouldn't mind) to lead a heliocentric offense. I just want someone who can navigate a pick and roll to give us another option against a set defense. There are a lot of guys we can trade for to do that but if you want some names that can be had with literally no asset investment, Dinwiddie or the ghost of Chris Paul can be signed at the vet min in a couple of weeks. They're not gonna start or even play heavy minutes but they give the offense another flavor and I think that's critical for championship level teams.

I love this, especially point 4. It’s been evident going back to Kentucky that Reed sees the floor differently AND he’s shown the ability to actually make the pass.

Well said. Patience is key. Only concern is defense and he seems to be slowly getting better at that, last game not withstanding.
