They're all over KIngwood/Humble. Basically like a Dairy Queen with better burgers. Lots of ice cream treats.
I think Hardees is now Carl`s Jr........I used to see Hardess in Omaha but they seemed to have changed names I think
Culvers is much better than Hardees. There are still Hardees here in MN but I haven't eaten at one in 20 years. From what I've heard they've completely merged their menu with Carl's Jr.
Culvers has a North Atlantic cod fish sandwich that is one of the best fast food sandwiches I've ever had.
My local Whataburger is on the decline, but I blame it on the quality of help. Most of the problems seems to to careless mistakes like getting the order wrong, mustard instead of mayo, asking for no onions and getting onions, over cooking the patties, or giving you the wrong order. Basically not giving a damn. My local Sonic has the same problem. DQ has become my go to for a burger and tacos.
I think we all agree. Culver's is pretty good and consistent for some reason, I haven't been there too often even though I've always had good experiences.
Well it finally happened...since the private equity firm bought Whataburger, I noticed locations lost consistency between them, but the one I frequent had remained largely unchanged....until yesterday. Everything has shrunk, the buns are different, more thin, and dry. The meat has that McDonald's chemical taste, they are even starting to run cheap value deals (e.g. Whataburger Jr for $3). The food was unrecognizable. I felt like Michael Douglas in Falling Down. This is really sad man
I had a coupon for a buy one get one free Whataburger breakfast taquito. Those used to be one of my favorite fast food breakfast items but it had been years since I ordered any breakfast at Whataburger. Those things were half the size now. Same tortilla but it was folded in like a mini burrito. I felt ripped off paying $4 for two of those little things.
Has there ever been a chain, restaraunt, (or any product period) that got better after getting fully corporatized? At that point, it’s whatever you can do to optimize profits… even if it’s at the cost of the product that led to the corporation being so attractive min the first place.
Culver's is the real deal, Buck. Much better than Carl's or Hardy's. Worth finding one and checking them out. We go to the one on 79 in RR.
From someone who had one of these last night, it depends on the location. And I’ve always thought that about WB, particularly since the sale. Some Whataburgers are good, some are bad. I also used to love these WB taquitos and when I lived closer to one, I’d often wait to eat dinner until 11pm so I could get a burger and a taquito.
Trash food, except their breakfast biscuits.... Those are still good if they actually changed the deep fry oil from the hashbrown things..... Other than that it all sucks equally and is overpriced... No reason to go there.....
