Reed needs to be the face of the franchise.

@Snow Villiers - Lauren in 2 weeks when I’m back from La.

If I recall correctly…didn’t the 72 win Bulls lose to expansion Raptors?

Sure did. It wasn't the 3-pt era, but the Raptors made pretty much all of their 3s in that game. In the Denver game, there was this guy named Chris Jackson (Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf) that was unstoppable -- it was probably that game that got Phil Jackson to comment two decades later, and I paraphrase... 'never seen anything like Curry, Chris Jackson / Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf?' during the 73-win Warriors run.

Are you seriously comparing the two to amen? You realize Amen is left wide open every game right? Where as burger luka and curry are doubled, tripled, mauled off ball constantly

I'm fine with sitting Aquaman on the 2nd night of a back-to-back when Sengun is healthy. When Sengun is out we really can't afford to have neither of them play that part was painfully obvious to anyone with functioning eyesight and minimal brain function.

Very funny to see the Warriors struggle offensively after a decade of being the offensive team.

I'm gonna "hot take" right now that the Rockets' net rating is this high because we've had a cupcake schedule with tons of rest and very few B2Bs, and we're going to drop out of the top 5 unless we can get healthy within the next few weeks.

We do have the depth to remain as contenders, barely, if we can get and keep everyone (or almost everyone) healthy, though.

For sure, the Rockets turned from being one of the youngest teams in the league to an older team with just high mileage young players....

Of course they are struggling with B2Bs with so many players worthy of load management.

While the Rockets' schedule will have more B2Bs going forward, the Rockets have not had a schedule full of cupcakes so far. Going forward, the Rockets have one of the easiest schedules regarding the quality of opponents even if rest will be less.

If Rockets drop out of Top 5 in Net Rating, it will likely need happen by Christmas with two games with Denver and one with LAL. After that, only 13% of the games are against the Top 8 teams (over 25% of the League).

We have the 8th toughest strength of schedule in the league right now. https://www.espn.com/nba/stats/rpi/_/sort/SOS

I won't disagree that we have had a benefit with less games and back to backs, but we haven't played a "cupcake" schedule of teams.

Yeah, I didn't mean in terms of quality of opponents. But this team seems to play unusually poorly on B2Bs, or even just in weeks where they have more than 3ish games, perhaps because we rely so much on high-intensity play (offensive rebounding, defensive intensity). I think we've really benefited from having so much rest, and that concerns me.

However, if we can field something like a 10 to 11 man rotation and keep everybody's minutes reasonable, which I think might be possible if we can get everybody healthy at the same time, we may be able to actually hang onto a top 3-4 record in the West in combination with the quality of opponents being easier the rest of the way.

The cupcakes is the most dangerous team. They have outplayed us more than the contenders.
    112 to 109 Denver
    125 to 124 OKC
    115 to 111 Deeeetroit basketball.

    Cupcakes:
    122 to 109 mavs
    133 to 125 Jiss
121 to 110 the Champagnies, Barnes and vassells
