Did Reed's foul trouble limit his minutes? Holiday shot well so kinda balances at PG sans Thompson.

The loss is acceptable, but not a blowout. Amen plays his average game, we win. Only 11 FGA with no Sengun?!!

 

This team can win games without Sengun, but by only Luck.
Without his offensive iq and gravity, this team is another at best between 11 th of 12th team in west, not top 5 team.
Thompson's Lucky by chance 31 points illusioned everyone, Amen is not a player who can create his own offense, he is dependent on Sengun's high basketball iq passing, hub and court vision, he needs to cut...

They likely hoped for an Amen and KD 2 man game, KD just ISOed and Amen is running against players.

JD was -14. I don’t know why we‘re making stuff up now to prove a point that‘s illogical.
I sure wish we would have kept trading baskets all game to the result of being a +5 on the game rather than losing by 13.

oh and btw this isn’t a „one game“ thing. Reed is almost always positive in +/- which, simply put, means were basically always winning when he‘s on the floor.

 

Oh excuse me it was Isiah Crawford that was plus 2. Either way your argument is stupid. He played like ass and so did Amen. I beive Clutch called it a "disaster class" from Reed in his podcast lol. You should go listen. Or just actually watch the game, because you clearly didn't.

 

Agreed. Reed had a stretch where he not only was getting absolutely hunted and used defensively every Mavs possession, but he also had multiple embarrassingly bad turnovers in a row. He may have shot decently sure, but I honestly don't understand what people were seeing out of him in the second half that would make them upset he was benched.

I'm 1000% rooting for the kid but he was absolutely awful in that third quarter.

 

Sengun clearly is our best and most important player. We look like **** without him. Oh and Ime with another big mistake, playing Adams against Phoenix instead of Dallas. Moving on.

 

That's ok. This loss increased my confidence in KD. He put the ball on the floor and made some beautiful shots against multiple defenders. Reed is gonna be a good player, but he is not a true PG. This team needs an upgrade to FVV in order to come close to becoming a genuine playoff threat.
Sengun is awesome at his best.

This had scheduled loss written all over it especially without Alpi.

 

Was Sengun on the sideline for either of these last two games?

 

They both sucked, but whenever Amen went out we had absolutely no defense. We were screwed this game as soon as it was announced that Sengun was out and Davis was playing. If we would have even a decent defensive player to sub Amen out for, I would have sat him all night.

 

It’s getting as obnoxious as the Jalen only fans. Reed is getting his minutes and will have good and bad games. Amen is going to have good and bad games. When they both have bad games we are in trouble because of our current lack of depth. This was the perfect storm with AD playing and Sengun and Adams sitting. There were some bright spots. After a slow start, Jabari looked great and aggressive on the offensive side of the ball and Okogie shined on defense. It’s pretty hard to compete on the road against a rival with your all-star center and his backup out. Not to mention having to play 9, 10. 11 type rotation players significant minutes. It’s not all about Amen and Reed.

 

Very reasonable take. Reed only fans are not reasonable. It is possible to be a Reed fan and not hate everyone else associated with the Rockets when he has to sit.

 

The in-season tournament has screwed up the schedule. It is an abomidation.

 

It’s one of two things: Guys that only watch the offensive side of the ball and guys that really care about skin pigment. When all our pieces are available, we are best with a starting lineup of Amen, Okogie, Durant, Jabari, and Sengun. We have a terrific bench with Reed, Tari, Adams, and eventually DFS. Ime still isn’t great at in-game decisions, but he really had no chance when Amen and Reed both decided to suck this game. There was no one to come to the rescue.

No Alphie and No Adams is a huge loss to what we do as a team.
