I think Udoka needs to STFU and play Sheppard 30 minutes a night. I trust and believe in Udoka but these little mind games don’t work with Sheppard. Give him 30 minutes a night and stay out of the way.

The goal was to play Reed enough to develop him by the playoffs understanding we would drop some games.

Unfortunately when coach is reactionary by your play every minute you play, benching you, starting, you benching you again its hard for a player to develop and ride the wave

Reed should go somewhere he can play through mistakes

Problem is Ime does not know how to run offense. So far every offense were created by player like KD and Alpi, Amen is just scoring in the chaos he brings but not many plays out of Ime to get the shooter open other than getting kick out pass after offensive rebounds. Ime cannot use Reed, sucks because Reed in GSW would be called next Step but here he is stuck with Ime.

I don't know if you guys noticed but we were the #1 offense and #9 defense and Ime just could not be happy with that mix. That's a championship mix. He had to tinker with it instead of just let it build chemistry.

Reed/Amen/Sengun/Durant gives us a competitive advantage (best offense in the league) that we need. Ime's yearly obsession about how important it is to be the 3rd best defense rather than the 5th best defense is such a colossal waste of effort. There's an opportunity to build the best offense plus a top 10 defense. That's a long-proven championship formula.

I say get Reed back in there, let him and Amen get as many on-ball reps as possible at least till the trade deadline.

Exactly. Every triumph or achievement comes with an investment and trade off. That means we drop a couple games because of Reed (I don’t think so since he’ll help us win more) then so be it.

I don’t think Reed knows what to do anymore. Sure he’s getting scored on but so is everyone else he just keeps getting singled out.

Not playing him through the mistakes is a very short sighted move. We weren’t winning this game. Amen had like 8 turnovers himself

Sweet Jesus yes. Having Amen operate on the perimeter is a crime - he's at his best finishing plays, not starting them.

Harden would be ideal, but it's hard to see the Clippers giving him up because they have no reason to tank.

Jrue is the next best reasonably available option, and maybe the last. Who else is out there? I don't think Ime would want LaMelo or Trae Young, nor do I think Stone would want to pay for them.

+5 tonight. Meanwhile Amen, who Ime trusted to lead the comeback that never came, was -14. Reed wasn't very good tonight, but Amen was worse. There's no logic to how Ime allocates the touches/minutes/roles other than Amen is the better defender, yet that doesn't necessarily yield a better result. Regardless, it's stupid that they split time anyway - they should be playing together.

The way we run offense has not changed at all. The only thing that has changed is we have fallen off from shooting 3’s at almost 43% as a team.

We've never been good at 3's. The only reason we were shooting such a high percentage was because we were taking the fewest attempts in the league by far.

Nothing has changed except for the fact that teams chase Sheppard off the line whereas they're still willing to cheat off Okogie a bit despite his improved jumper. That small difference has an exponential effect on the ease with which Amen/Durant/Sengun score. If he's also putting up buckets, it's practically impossible to beat us EXCEPT...

for the fact that Sheppard can be hunted defensively. Which is why I say: throw him to the Wolves for half a season, let's see if his defensive positioning improves in time. If it doesn't work out then bring Okogie or DFS in before the playoffs. If it DOES work we have a super power in the playoffs (best offense). Worth the experiment if you ask me. We're winning easily anyway. I think Udoka over reacted to one bad team game against the Jazz.

We are in agreement overall. Only things I disagree with are I think Reed is already being thrown to the Wolves. Only reason Ime pulled him tonight was that he was literally being hunted on every play, we were trying to comeback down 20, and he wasn’t making up for it on offense. And I think we are a good shooting team. Low volume at a high percentage doesn’t mean we’ve “never been good”. But overall I agree with you. Reed is gonna keep getting his shot. I don’t think we should rule out bringing someone in though.

Colby White but he wants 30 million a year. Not sure what the Rox are going to do but you can have Amen and Reed be ready when KD is 39-40. FVV coming back can change that but still he's good not great.
