Malone is more defense oriented.....I would suggest Joe Mazzulla.....I am not kidding but he is probably saying nope.

Jabari has made the most progress of the young guys this year.

Amen is struggling and realizing the PG position is more than just barreling downhill.

Reed either looks like the second coming of Curry or Jose Alvarado without the defense.

Not worried about either and still happy Fred is gone so they can learn this stuff now and not in a few years.

Which raises a great question. Why on earth has a team with championship aspirations become so incredibly dependent on a backup center and offensive rebounding?

I think it is not Reed but the Reed mistakes had other players make the same mistakes....it had a snowballing effect.

Situational benching is not worth all the moaning though......it happens ....then he is up for the next game.....

Very easy and straight forward, Udoka is a coach of expediting things and he is gimmicky as hell meaning he uses the shortest short cut to success, that has been his mantra so far.

    O. Rebounding turns into 2nd chance points.

Unless he makes a 180 degrees turn.......we shall see.

I'd say yes, Rockets NEED Adams to win a ring this year. 100%

But, it's true for most teams. Winning a championship, there is a small margin for error. A key role player going out can really be devastating for a championship team. Like imagine if OKC lost Hartenstein? Could they still do it, sure, but they lose so much toughness, rebounding, defense, that it makes it that much harder.

So I don't think its that unthinkable. We're going to need to be healthy, especially we're already missing FVV who has a history of turning up for the playoffs so we're already behind this year honestly.

Yeah, gimmicky is spot on. Let’s create extra shots for all the non-shooters on the floor.

Because we don‘t really have an offensive system and when you don’t have that, offensive rebounding fixes this issue very well. If you can just get 20 more posessions than your opponent, you win games by chance.

It‘s not a coincidence that we lost to denver, spurs and detroit - in all of these games we didn’t win the rebound battle.

With Alpe, the game would slow down and I don't think the Mavs were going that fast on transition......

One of Alpe and Adams would normally be on the court.

It would be a closer game nonetheless.

He was one of three players with a positive plus minus JD Davidson has a positive plus minus too. that’s why raw plus minus is such a disingenuous stat because it doesn’t factor in who you’re on the court with or what the situation in the game is. Look at Kevin Durant‘s -14. So are you trying to tell me that he was one of the worst players for the Rockets tonight? No, obviously not. he was the reason we were even in the game to begin with. So when certain bench players come in and make little runs against backups that’s gonna inflate their raw plus minus numbers. Ime had Reed out there with the stay ready crew when they were trying to make their comeback and Dallas was targeting Reed on every single play and we were trading baskets. When you’re trying to make a 20 point comeback, you just can’t have that. That’s why Ime took Reed out. It had nothing to do with some personal vendetta against Reed.

Anthony Davis back to form, he didn't play the first time. Be aware we've lost to bad teams when we won the first time Jazz and Mavs.

Losing stat for the Rockets- Mavs shot 60% and Rockets shot only 13 FTs. Sengun and Adams are difference makers against the Mavwrecks. It will be a bad loss if we don't win the next one.

I think the Mavs were outrebounded in this game if I read that correctly .....31-37 ......just not a rebounding game.

    Rox: 16 ORB - Mavs 7 ORB
    Rox: 18 TO - Mavs 12 TO

The Rockets had 5 more shot attempts than the Mavs, just did a bad job at converting.

2 rebounds bro. The Udoker owe you some money. Come to think of it, Emu is doing some funny stuff with Reed’s minutes.
