Dillon's always had this Mamba mentality, it's just that for the most of his career, his Mamba mode would cause his teams to lose games because he couldn't hit those shots efficiently. When he first came to the Rockets, my first though was "he's a great addition to the team, but Ime MUST wrangle in Dillon's Mamba mode". He definitely cost Memphis some games with prime Ja because he forced too many shots, but I'm happy he's gotten to a point where he can hit these shots efficiently and turned himself into a 20+ PPG scorer.
Vintage KD showed up and of course turned this into a fun game. 21 points and 5 assists is ridiculous But for all the whining about Amen he also quietly turned in 14 points on 8 shot attempts. Going to need both of them to keep showing up to finish this one out.
Coaches that have players like KD must have statistically better sleep cycles compared to their peers that have no such player.
Yeah Okogie is certainly a superior defender so I can wrap my head around them playing him over Reed but I just don't see any benefit on playing Holiday if he is a lesser offensive player and they're a wash on defense. I err on the side of letting the young guy figure it out
