Have you seen this stat? Makes one think.[/QUOTE] It doesn't really. I mean maybe for 0.5 seconds to think that hey what's the difference between Sengun and those other players? Then laugh and forget this stat exists
The only serious MVP contenders are Shai and Jokic. Everyone else is just being recognized. As All NBA material at this point.
The Spurs are still winning without Wemby, and he hasn't played for weeks - why is he in the top 10?! Ridiculous
Even with that the only real contender is Jokic. Shai is just on the best team. But the gap between him and Jokic is huge.
What we are watching with Jokic is all time like best player ever great. Too bad he’s not a diva and doesn’t ever demand to play with quality teammates. Maybe one day he will get to play with an all star,
If Jokic and SGA both continue having career years, they will share all of the 1st and 2nd place votes. I seriously did not think SGA could improve on last year, but he has (so far).
Unless you're Harden on the Rockets, and a guy on a worse team has padded stats. Almost hilarious if it wasn't affecting Harden's legacy - how that was the one year the best player on a better team wasn't the sole criteria.
What Jokic has been doing over the past two years doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. He has been unreal—truly a generational talent. Even saying that somehow feels diminutive.
It feels cheap in the new NBA though. He's so amazing because he plays in a diminished defensive era and he's mostly an offensive guy. You got Austin Reaves averaging near 30 for gods sake. In context its not that impressive as I dont beleive he could do this in the 90's. He'd be A. Sabonis imo. Put Sabonis senior in this era and he would average a near triple double too. Jordan would average 45 easily maybe more.
