Not surprisingly, Laken Tomlinson was waived today. https://texanswire.usatoday.com/sto...linson-waived-following-benching/87581480007/
Feel like it's a mirage. These next two games with the Chiefs and Cardinals will give many answers. Most blitzes and best disguised. PFF doesn't factor in the Defensive players that were awol weeks 5-13. Any of those guys would have wrecked the entire line:Huff, Sweat, Queen/ Hamilton on blitzes, Ed Oliver, Deforest. Simmons playing hurt and Surtain's absence making Broncos shy away from bringing their usual Bltz %, With an average O-line and a talented qb like Coleridge most of the games will resemble the 49ers game except the few times we play ourselves in practice. I would gladly take 18th if it's the real thing. We should also embrace the mirage. I'm hearing Calais Campbell is dealing with some knee soreness. and Patriots DTs leave a lot to desire should they advance. If pass pro is just slightly calm, seven has the same success rates as any of the other qbs.
Which OL are you touting in this yrs draft? My guys are Chaplin/Dunker/Ratledge/Zuhn/Laloulu/Bisontis.these are guys outside the 1st rd. Over all I like the talent and depth in this OL class.
That was a crap thing to say, but in all honesty the interior OL and DL is the hardest thing to draft outside of the obvious superstars
VS the Colts they zoomed in on Trent and I swear, it looked like his uniform was 5 times to small LOL The man is HUGE
I think the Texans are going to go for continuity after the sluggish offense they have in Caley's first season as OC and with new players on the OL. So I think they will re-sign Ingram and Andrews will be the presumptive starter at Center. From there I see one of two things happening: 1) they draft Ioane or, maybe, Pregnon to start at LG next season; or 2) they draft Proctor or World and move Ersery to LG I agree that Andrews isnt the best the team can do at center but there arent many guys that would be marked improvement in free agency and Im not sure a rookie is ready to supplant him in their first year in the bigs, I could see them looking at Logan Jones or Parker Brailsford to develop but, for next season, I think its Andrews job to lose. I think they will pick some guys to try and develop behind Howard to maybe replace him after next year and probably depth too. I think there could be value in the 3rd and 4th with guys like Chase Bisontis, Caden Green, Max Iheanachor and Brian Parker. I also think there are some late rounders/UDFA types that could be developed (Trey Zuhn, DJ Campbell, PJ Williams and Diego Pounds). Ive mentioned before that expect them to carry 9 linemen again next season, Im betting/expecting itll look something like this: LT Ersery or Proctor LG Ionae or Ersery C Andrews RG Ingram RT Howard Reserves: Scruggs, Fisher, Patterson, Green/Iheanachor
I'm in the same book, but I'm on the Chapter where we have to have the strength and mass for cold weather playoff games. Therefore, I'm leaning toward the big boys like Proctor, Ionae and Laloulu if we trade up to the bottom of the 1st round. I think we target big and flexible like tackles who can shift to guard, but also have successful experience at tackle if called upon. My hope is that we develop the depth where they compete favorably with starters when injury or fatigue require. In Laloulu's case, we could move either him or Andrews out to guard with both being high IQ and perception guys for stunt and blitz recognition. Could they work together or would it be like two starting QBs, too many chiefs?
I love seeing Seth when he sees a violent (within the rules) play. He's like a kid on Christmas Morning.
