I laughed seeing a Lebron Foundation commercial, but the premise of the commercial was:

"Can you imagine if the world never got to see LEBRON JAMES' talent and greatness? This foundation was formed to make sure that inconceivable outcome can't happen to anyone else"

CP3 trying to manufacture interest in his farewell tour that nobody cares about.

I'm sure SAS and ESPN will help the brother out and start manufacturing the story.

His athletic decline was very visible after all the hammy injuries, I felt that after the Houston stint and the OKC stint, he was much more less explosive.

He had a nice little resurgence with Booker, Mikal and Cam Johnson in Phoenix though.
And made Phoenix as destination interesting for Durant in the first place.

And then he could not even hit his middies in GSW and San Antonio.

Really surprising that the Clippers would do this to the most important player in franchise history when they're 5-16. He must be a nightmare behind the scenes.

Kinda weird. No clue what’s happening behind the scenes but little bit of a bad look for the clippers to cut him in his final year lol

Hmm. Tricky based on his departure. Only if he agrees to not complain at all if he doesn’t get playing time sometimes. He would have to be fully on board even just being an end of bench player coach type of guy that they run out there sometimes when needed.

There is almost certainly conflict involved here. They abruptly dismissed CP3 in the middle of a road trip. Going from starting all 82 games with the Spurs last year to being a part-timer on the Clippers must have been very hard for him. Perhaps things finally reached a boiling point today.

I heard the clippers beat writer for the Athletic talking about it this AM, apparently the retirement instagram post took everyone by surprise, then no media availability for Paul for days, a few more cryptic social media posts and then the middle-of-the-night dismssal.

Granted the Clippers situation is miserable all around.

    Edit here is Shams' "sources":

Chris Paul was not on speaking terms with LA Clippers coach Ty Lue for several weeks before his stunning ouster from the team, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Paul and his leadership style clashed with Lue and the Clippers, according to sources, who told Charania that 12-time All-Star was vocal in holding management, coaches and players accountable.

The Clippers felt that Paul's style had become disruptive, sources told Charania.

Sam Cassell and Cuttino Mobley are the most important players in Team History
They drug them out of the curse of crappiness
CP3 and Blake just continued the tradition they started
