If you read the dude's orignal post, you'll see that I'm basically knocking on him on taking too much postive on Yao's game tonight. Like I said, it's great to see him dominate, but guess what, the Rockets still loss.

I don't see how so many people are so negative. Bright side: We've shown we can come back and fight hard.
Yao has shown he can take over games
    Yao TRUSTS his teammates.
Our team is a very good 3pt shooting team.
We can compete w/o Tmac in the game
Padgett and bowen are great off the bench

You guys keep saying oh yao sucks he scared. Did you even watch when the rockets were down like 12 or something when charlie ward, lue and Jim jackson hit threes? What about when padgett hit his three? Bowen hit a open 3. Ward and Lue got alittle too trigger happy after those and launched 2 shots early in the clock, but I'll forgive em for that.
Jim Jackson needs to learn to stop shooting way too early in the clock. Yao didn't even make it pass half court. Yao showed me alot today. Last year when steve and mobley was out he wouldn't step up. THese past two games showed me he will. That was a FOUL when he tried to dunk. Lue had a great penetration and dish and the refs blew it. THat pass to the rockets bench i hope/and think is an aberration, so I'm not going to harp on him for that.

Parlabor, whatever you said, all i got to say is..stfu. You lost all your respect long ago.

i like the way bowen lock up kobe.
Kobe basically scored 2 points on free throw in the 4th qtr. Too bad his role players stepped up whereas ours didnt1!!

here's something from laker's fan forum

Offical thanks to Tyron Lue thread

    Thank you TY
You're a true Laker at heart

Yeah...he won 2 NBA titles with the Lakers. He still loves the Lakers. Thanks Ty

Course, he did hit that three that put Houston ahead after being down by 22 just a qtr before. But that pass to the stands sure was nice!

The airball and the pass were truly brilliant. Lue was our 6th man today

    Agent Lue,
Well done. You will now resume your cover and await further instructions from M.

don't forget to thank david stern.
yao was fouled twice under the basket, followed by a miss.

I feel sorry for those laker fans.

Pretty much agree with you. Our PG situation starts worrying me. When Sura is going to join us.
I too thought Gundy held Yao on the pine for too long in the 2nd quarter.

Kobe still shoot better than the rest of Rockets percentage wise, and he was double teamed. Our role players needs to step up. Role players are important.

That one play does not establish his entire career as a finisher or not but it could have been one of the building blocks for him to become a finisher and the team trusting in that.

I would rather have him take that shot with single coverage and him bricking it because it shows he has a willingness to take the responsibility in the future for late game wins and losses.
These type of plays establishes a momentum that we need in both of our stars when the playoffs come along -where it really counts times two.

Talking about that questionable no-call against Yao's dunk attempt, what do yall think about that call against Bowen pushing off Kobe resulting two free throws at 1 minute mark. We were tied at that time. Laker didnt make a field goal the last 4 minutes.

    Good bye shygun

Anyway, I was shocked that the team actually stayed in the last 2 games. I esp give'm props for hanging with the wolves w/o McGrady ... while playing well under their abilities.
This team definitely has some upside. Guess we'll see in another 15 games or so ...

    So what's our bench?

    Deke+Howard+Bowen+lue+spoon+Padgett?

    Grant+Cook+Walton+rush+brown?

All of them minimum players except howard and grant. So our bench is so much better? Much better that our starters+bench as a group better than lakers' starter and the bench? Are u kidding me?

Yao got probably 15 fouls from Grant, Mihm and Cook. Grant was fouled out.
Sigh, too bad that wasnt enough.

We maybe missing Bob Sura more than we thought. Our 2/3 positions are now paper-thin with TMac out. I mean one can't expect Boki Nachbar to play like an NBA starter, can he?

I know that we are missing pieces, but being under 500 is still a bad feeling.
