They still think Banchero is better than Wagner? Orlando is playing much better after giving the key to Wagner with no Banchero.
FVV may not be ready to move on from us though. Lol. I don't see how the Rockets convince Fred to not apply his NTC unless it is a location that has would be desirable to him.
Thats true...we're hostage to him. Maybe, we tell him is new role will be him to lead our 2nd unit and see if he has a change of heart
Thursday, Dec. 11 vs. Los Angeles Clippers (home); 7:00 p.m. Central tipoff Monday, Dec. 15 at Denver (road): 8:30 p.m. Central tipoff
Great news about the Clippers home game. It sucks that we get the Nuggets on the road though. I guess we have the Spurs to thank for that.
Their offense has been by committee, with Wagner and Bane facilitating and dominating when they need to. Paolo doesn't fit into what they're doing now. I'm really curious to see what happens when he returns. I think they could get worse.
Another thing that sucks about playing at Denver on 12/15 is that the Rockets were already scheduled to play them on 12/20. So they visit Denver for the newly scheduled game, then fly to New Orleans to play the Pelicans, and then have to go right back to Denver.
I’ve never understood the love for Banchero. He facilitates well for a big man. He is below average at virtually every other big man skill. They are worse when he is on the court. I love that they extended him to that horrible contract. Maybe they can get bailed out by Dallas or some other horribly run franchise.
Fair enough. He did step up in the playoffs unlike Jalen. My point was, if your highest usage player is an inefficient guy who is also low on A/TO, you aren't going very far.
Of course. His size and talent would make me want to see how he develops as he ages though, i still think his potential is off the charts but he has disappointed so far. I would also have zero issue with his contract as a magic fan. If he doesn’t turn into a number 1 then they’re going nowhere with or without him.
Bari shooting 39% from 3 on 6 attempts Tari shooting 51% from 3 on 5 attempts Reed shooting 45% from 3 on 6 attempts Sengun shooting 40% from 3 on 3 attempts I’d say most of our young core has improved their long-range shooting.
There are parallels, but I do think Paolo is more intelligent and more mentally tough than Jalen. He's gotta move away from the "I'm gonna get mine" mentality that sidetracks their offense. It's possible the time off teaches him something. We'll see.
So let me get this straight... The Rockets are likely one of the top 3 teams in the NBA and we have had four different guys carry us with dominant performances at various times (KD, Sengun, Amen, Reed) while having multiple role players stand out, including Jabari who has had a couple of 20/10 games. All this after we lost our starting point guard, have yet to field our full team, and are still figuring things out. We are nowhere close to our final form. I'm starting to like how this season is shaping up.
