Seems like Uncle Jeff and KD have embraced taking Reed under their wings.

The Warriors were up 14 on a team they've owned which was down its major contributors. It has to be troubling for them because they believed they could blitz Sheppard, he would falter, and cough up the ball. What actually happened is that attacking the ball and trying to force TOs left GS exposed on the glass. Houston finally made enough shots, and their perimeter D (led by Holiday and Sheppard) was more than enough for the win.

Without Curry for the next few games, they will be at the bottom scrapping for a play-in spot if at all.

I said earlier in this thread that it felt like Reed and Jabari were doing too much. Especially Jabari. I know Jabari was forcing it too much, acting like he was KD. Driving into the lane with tunnel vision. Second half though, both players let the game come to them. Reed was awesome and to all the Jaleen Green fans here. That's how you beat the blitz. Just get to a midrange with consistency. The warriors played the exact same defense they played in the playoffs pack the paint and guard and blitz the 3 point line. Midrange is what is open all the time now, because this league has become this analytical show of 3 points equals more than 2. This was a good win proud of the boys! Let's go Rockets!

Right!! But for some reason JG couldn’t grasp the concept of “dribble to open spot and shoot”.

They stopped being a contender this off-season when they literally did nothing. They didn't get a center and let Jonathan Kuminga hold them hostage. I know their salary cap issue was a thing, but poor gm decisions letting Jonathan Kuminga hold them hostage. I would've made that trade to Sacramento.

I feel his name should be changed to DNP until he gets on the court.

CP3 is a magician ball handler. I doubt Reed will ever reach that level. But his shooting is very comparable. And Reed is bigger than CP3.

Unless Steph is out for an extended period of time, they will definitely make the play-in and might be difficult to face in the first round.

What I found interesting is despite how bad the Rockets were, they stayed within striking distance. Even when it was 67-53 midway in the 3rd, I never felt the Rockets were out of the game. The Warriors just seemed weak. Jimmy Butler is a decent second fiddle, but he no longer scares anybody. After him and Steph, the fall off is steep.

I feel like teams play better their next games after playing us - it must be such a relief for them playing against other teams that are not as physical and tenacious as us. For example, Phoenix destroyed Sacramento right after playing us, it must have felt like such a huge contrast and so easy playing a crap team right after playing us.

Green actually always does that when he thinks it could be a flagrant

We might end up facing them again in the first round if we are the second seed.

One thing about Reed that is extremely impressive is the fact he bounced back from a bad game against Phoenix with 7 points into 31 against the Warriors.

And what’s crazy is the game against Phoenix really wasn’t a bad game from him, just an off shooting night.

Being able to bounce back the next game speaks huge volumes.

Shout out to Reed, the boy is doing his thing and getting really confident on the floor. Night and day from last year.

Steph out a week. Injury is nothing and I agree about Butler.
