This seemed like a weird game, but then I took a closer look during the 3rd quarter run. The Rockets simply turned the clock back one year to a formula that worked very well for them: They dominated both offensive rebounds (25-13) and turnovers (10-16) and won despite being outshout by the opponent.

Reed Sheppard has arrived! When Jimmy Butler and Draymond attacked Reed 40 feet from the basket to make him give up the ball, it made me proud! I'll never forget that moment.

Shout out to IME for keeping Reed in even when he missed 5 shots in a row in the 2nd qtr. It looked like even Reed thought he was getting sub’d out and IME gave him a node to stay in the game and keep shooting. He then hit two shots in a row. It felt like that gave Reed the confidence to keep shooting in the 3rd qtr even when he started out missing. Needless to say, pure shooters like Reed will likely go back to making shots after a few misses.

IME cont’d to show confidence in Reed at the end of the game by drawing the play for Reed to take the last 2 free throws even after he just went 1 for 2 in the earlier play. This will translate to Reed feeling more comfortable and his teammates trusting him to take shots when it matters most. I don’t think we’ve even seen the version of Reed who took college basketball by storm yet.

This was my point for playing him more last game and getting him used to the NBA pace etc. he’s a pure shooter…will eventually figure it out we just have to nurture that confidence so it pays off in the post season

Also I don’t think it needs to be Holiday vs Reed…these 2 guys get along and play great, always look for the other guy when they’re on the court together.

credit to Ime for playing that lineup it’s deadly I hope we don’t go away from it even when they get into a shooting funk

I don’t think sengun has an issue with draymond one on one. His problem is the warriors don’t respect anyone else out there. The doubles come from all sides and the swarming which makes him play hesitant.

Yup, he’d be scary good if he had some nice shooters around him. Imagine him passing out of double teams to… Klay and KD? lol ;)

Rockets have given a lot of bad contracts IMO. They better pay Reed and keep him here for the future.
