You have to realize, this is one of Jalen Green's most hilariously absurd supporters until just a few months ago. You can't expect him to have competent basketball takes until literally years after they are obvious to everyone else in the world. It is what it is.
His generation stopped watching the old guards, they are usually after either Harden or Curry...or both. Maybe Luka, Trae whoever is the next target to emulate.
Somehow this dude who you describe at having "severe physical limitations" and possibly the "worst reach in NBA history" leads the Rockets entire team in steals and tonight hit 31 points, 9 boards, 5 assists, 2 blocks and only 2 TO. How does the most severely limited player in NBA history do this?
I think he's getting that chance and flourishing...him, Amen, and Sengun have an insane net rating together. Ime needs to stagger so these three are always on the court together. Jalens selfishness/jealousy was a factor in Reeds lack of development last year. Exact opposite of KDS.
You people really need to read an entire conversation. You're replying to post where I'm literally mocking the notion that he has little T-rex arms (worst of all time) which he'd have to have to have got the ridiculous 42inch vert he's shown no evidence of. Stop being r****ded, read a full conversation and realise I was literally just mocking people who said the 42 inches was infallible even though Reed himself admitted to cheating the test. Is that alright for you? Or are you too much of a complete and utter d******d that you can't even read the response to yourself?
I think it’s been clarified pretty quickly this season that the floor here is somebody that shoots the three at a high level and is a reliable starter. The ceiling, I am no longer sure, but I have come to the conclusion that is much much higher than I originally thought. he is still in the process of learning to be an MBA point guard, but he also seems to be well ahead of the curve as far as his intelligence. For every defensive assignment he fails that he disrupts another with his hand usage or intelligence. he literally tricked Steph Curry on both ends of the floor last night. you are seeing him get to the room a little bit and become more efficient, but you also have to realize that he will not have to do that a whole lot. As long as he can pull up and generate space for the mid range jumper things will be fine. He clearly can finish the mid range jumper at an acceptable rate. Honestly, I see John Stockton. Maybe not quite the passer but a better scorer. Elated To see how he develops the season.
To go from where we were during the first two games where he looked borderline unplayable to where we are now is quite remarkable. Credit to Reed for hanging in there, and credit to Ime for letting him cook. So far, Reed’s emergence has been the highlight of the season for me. Everyone knew KD was going to elevate us, but Reed…? Drawing crunch time doubles. Going on a tear when the familiar story of GS seemingly having our number yet again seems to be occurring. Carrying us with KD out and Alpi having another off night.
He'll be great, and he'll never once record a single instance of 42 inch vert in the league. Which is all I was saying, learn to read dumbass.
When it comes down to it measurables like vertical height and jump do not mean anything. It comes down to can a guy play or not. Reed has demonstrated he is a player no matter how tall he is or how high he can jump.
